Very promising last 2 friendlies from the Ethniki. Gosh, i hope we qualify for the upcoming WC. The pain from missing out so narrowly on the Euro still hurts daily. A wc quali might help me forget that.

Interesting that we've heard nothing about Greek players (but not surprising). Didn't we fail to sign Hatzidiakos last season? I thought for some reason he had made a permanent move to Copenhagen but that's apparently just a loan with an option to buy. He'd fill in a big gap in our team nicely, IMO. And for strikers...perhaps Fountas from OFI? I don't even know how they managed to get him to begin with, but surely he'd be better than some slob from second division Spain.

I wonder what that would mean for most of us given we live abroad. The past few seasons, between Sports Plus and Antenna we had access to every PAOK game. At least in Australia, I think the US was the same as well. Maybe a move to Open will mean a better quality of picture, but I think that is more a satellite thing than a Greek TV station thing. The Satellites they use to pick up the channels have to be at least 50 years old.
