evalagoal
Just read this from UEFA.com.. It's interesting how they already have Olympiacos and AEK on this list... What a pity though to only see 2 clubs from our country. ****************************************************************** Provisional access list - 2006/07 UEFA Champions League Teams in bold already confirmed in position IOC Stage Club TBC Grp 2005/06 winners ESP Grp FC Barcelona ESP Grp Real Madrid CF ESP Q3 Valencia CF ESP Q3 CA Osasuna ENG Grp Chelsea FC ENG Grp Manchester United FC ENG Q3 Liverpool FC ENG Q3 Tottenham Hotspur FC ITA Grp Juventus ITA Grp AC Milan ITA Q3 FC Internazionale Milano ITA Q3 ACF Fiorentina FRA Grp Olympique Lyonnais* FRA Grp FC Girondins de Bordeaux FRA Q3 LOSC Lille M
Ziaka
They only have 2 greek clubs inthe list because we are only allowed two teams in the next Champions League, and one of the teams will play in the qualifying round. Seriously I don't see Greece having 3 teams in CL again for a long , long time. Additionaly they show AEK on the list, because they are currently in 2nd place in the league and that is the place that leads to the CL qualifying round. This will change in the event that AEK loses to PAOK on Sunday (I hope :D ) and PAO defeats Atromitos and takes over the 2nd place.
Damianos
AEK will beat PAOK and fly the flag for greece!!! Well, i hope so anyway. Back to the Champions League, how we only have two spots, looking at the leagues bellow us that only have 2 passes into qualifying rounds for the champions league like russia and scotland, if some greek clubs dont do something in Europe, we could be relegated to having to play Qualifiers to get into the Champs League. <_< As much as i hate to say it, Olympiakos has been dominating Greed football for the past decade. Because of this they have a responsibility for Greek football. They have to go far in 06/07 and get some rankings points for Greece so we dont lose our grip on the one automatic spot we have in the Champions League. 3 spots??? in a very, very, very long time, i remember when we use to have 3 spots though, about 5 years ago..............( feels like a dream really.......) LONG LIVE AEK
