kapsolas Posted November 26, 2005 Share Posted November 26, 2005 In order to solve the issue of Sopcast freezing/chopping and having interference in watching one thing and only one thing has to be done.. people need to open their ports.. if i see the abuse that i saw today with 14 people having their ports opened and 150 people connected and watching then i myself will only stream to private groups.. please guys.. we enjoy streaming live soccer for free and want to maintain a non-buffer enviroment.. so please open up your ports so sopcast can work properly and we can alll enjoy the outcome.. thanks for reading.. please post followups and opinions or solutions... i appreciate any comments happy thanks giving weekend Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guys....i keep the promise against all those who want to make money from paying tv/links.... We should all cooperate since we all need the same dumn thing WATCH OUR FAVORITE TEAM and not only.... we can be sop-friends... kapsolas Posted November 27, 2005 Author Share Posted November 27, 2005 The problem is that its different for every person.. first of all if the use is running windows xp professional with service pack 2 this requires them to either disable the windows firewall ( go to control pannel -> Security Center or Windows Firewall -> then you can Either disable it or open up the required ports by clicking on Exceptions Add Port and open up the firewalls ports that need to be opened... secondly, others need to open up their ports in their routers firewalls.... to do this its a little more difficult... first of all.. CLick on the start bar... click on run... type in "cmd"... now you should see a black box... type in "ipconfig" .. now you should see your ip adress . for example ... ip adress .......... 192.168.0.3 ... now to access your router you go to .... start ... run.... type in either ..... http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.0.100 it should ask you for a username and password... that should admin or administrator ( should be in your router manual ).. in here you should be able to open up the ports thirdly, third party software such as blackice and zonealarm can also be either disabled or you can add the ports... enjoy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
