manos Posted August 17, 2006 Share Posted August 17, 2006 The gap between Olympiacos and PAO has dropped significantly according to http://www.transfermarkt.de/. It's about 4 millions at the moment and it will vanish if Salpiggidis goes to PAO and we don't get anybody today. Although the player values quoted are a bit inflated they are valid in relative terms. It makes you wonder what Kokkkalis' plan is. Olympiacos has more season tickets and sells more tickets than PAO in every match, has secure income from the Champions League and also has a few tens of thousands of members that provide a few more millions. Still Kokkalis decided not to invest this year- actually the nominal value of the team dropped by 5-10 millions- while PAO increased theirs by about the same amount. Maybe they are looking at making the new Greek League a bit more competitive this year by giving PAO a chance and making an extra buck in the process.
