Vaggar Posted August 20, 2003 Share Posted August 20, 2003 Fiorentina took advantage of the dicision to expand Seria B from 20 to 24 teams to accomodate Catanias' appeal. So Genoa, Catania and Salernitane remain in Seria B and Fiorentina joins them in place of Cozentsa that declared bankrupsy and will play in D' Division. Now why they picked Fiorentina and not Piza or the other team (Mozentsa I think) that played last year in C' Division and lost in the play-off games their promotion in Seria B'? BECAUSE FIORENTINA IS A HISTORIC TEAM. Thats what the Italian Soccer Association said. And we though that these things happen only in Greece.
