The Great Ticket Debate

Recommended Posts

Dundee United have begun the yearly disagreement over the Cup Final ticket allocation by requesting 17,000 tickets for the match on May 28.

Many points to consider:

National final, neutral stadium - 52,000 capacity.

53,000 Celtic season ticket holders.

5,000 Dundee United fans at Semi Final.

9,000 tickets to sponsors/officials etc.

What do you think is the fair solution? If Dundee United can sell 17,000 tickets, should they be made available. Or is this unfair on the Celtic fans who regularly attend matches? Should advantage be given to one particular side?

Every season, we have the same debate when either Rangers or Celtic are involved against a smaller provincial club.

well, i think that united should get some on the tickets. however, during the season, united should find an average of how many fans turn up and watch them, home and away. this could give them an idication of how many tickets they should have, or even get just a little more over, because you would think that more fans would go watch them. thats what i think, because you know that there will be more celtic fans what so ever.
