PAOK CROWDS

When will the supporters of PAOK realise, that the only way we will move forward is by selling out all the fixtures for the season.

-This will create more interest for sponsors, televisons and ofcorse revenue from gates.

That how the diokisi will be strong but with crowds of 2500 what the ###### is that for a so called strong team as PAOK.

Your thoughts guys?

The PAOK fans will come and support the team as long as the owners of the team don't everything possible to allianate them as they did with the CL fiasco last season. If the fans sense that the owners want to take advantage of them, they will not show up at Toumba.

It has been proven many times in the past that if the fans want, they will come out and fill the Toumba.

Sure they raised the price of season tickets, but the prices were not outrageous considering this was a new begining for PAOK, CL dreams and all.

I think a lot of PAOK fans got mad for the way that PAE PAOK tried to get people to buy season tickets. Best example is the way they handled ticket sales for the PAOK-Maccabi. Two days before the game they announced that all the tickets were sold-out, but the next day they said there were still 3,000 tickets left, but you could only buy one if agreed to also purchase a season ticket package. This was seen as scam by the fans to get them to buy the season ticket packages. From that day, a lot of PAOK fans started to distrust the Goumenos/Pagonis leadership.

Paok has done quite well in the league since their horendous start to the season

but again Paok's season was basically lost due to the maccabi situation

i bet if something positive came out of that result then the club might be in a better position today

also Paok didn't do much to improve the squad they had last season

they basically just stayed with the past success they had rather then building a beter squad

Tell us something we don't know.

Yeah its kind of hard to "build a better squad" as you put it when you have the type of ownership that PAOK has. Even with good players, the admin went on a frenzy of ditching players who were thought to be loyal to Anastasiadis. It was a firesale...with 5 or 6 REGULARS leaving the club. Oly11, we're not talking about an ownership group who can splurge loads of cash on free agents or transfers. They are a disillusioned bunch who have dreams of grandeur. i.e. Building a new stadium, signing loads of players, etc..

And besides, what magnificent strides did Oly make that improved their team from last year? Rivaldo? Please, his impact on the pitch has been minimal at best. Perhaps he's helped in the jersey sales. But that's it. The winter trasfer period saw Oly do nothing in terms of "improving the squad". And maybe that would account for the let down in Liverpool and the absolute spanking at the hands of Newcastle.
