Houllier, who was in charge the France youth set-up in the early 1990s which went on to produce the side that won the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European Championship, said that in influx of foreign players was restricting opportunities for home talent.

Phantis says: Keep looking ! You might find what went wrong! :D

This arrogance is just gross.

These are statements one usually hears form English commentators when it comes to England games. They spend 4 hours analyzing every single element on their side. 5 minutes on the opposition. Then, during the match, their statements are always steered toward the English side. In the course of 90 minutes they might have a handful of positive things to be said of the opposition. And in the end, when England loses...as they always invariably do...it's NEVER a matter of being beaten by a better team. It's always "what did we do wrong?" or "the manager made too many errors."

"Italy, Spain and Germany never made it past the group stage, while England and France went out in the quarter-finals. Yet between them the five countries have the five richest and most highly-rated leagues and clubs in the world." (BBC SPORT)

Yeah, they also have the inflated egos that go along with all of the fame and fortune.

Their bias and pickle up the ass arrogance is stupid and laughable. To heck with them. They have to eventually accept the fact that they were all beaten by better teams. And in the end, the best team of the tournament won the championship. My advice, get that pickle out of your asses and start concentrating on the true dynamics of the game.
