Elastonpappou 13 Posted February 17, 2005 Share Posted February 17, 2005 Apart from the Italian teams who have been following this policy for ages, buying expensive players for improving the team (and not for selling T-shirts) all the rest apart from Real, according to their latest european record are a failure!!! You see many teams in this list who have a disgraceful European record (Rangers, Newcastle, Tottenham, Marseille etc etc). When Panathinaikos played many of these teams it has showed that money cannot buy you a real team... Selling T-shirts and make comemercial revenues have nothing to do with success!!!
