Ioanna Posted August 17, 2004 Share Posted August 17, 2004 Weightlifting: Sampanis wins Greece's first Athens medal 17.08.2004 7.45am ATHENS - The Greek hosts won their first medal of the Athens Olympics on Monday when weightlifter Leonidas Sampanis took bronze in the 62kg category on the third day of the Games. :nw: China's Shi Zhiyong won the gold medal in the event, while Le Maosheng - also from China - took the silver.
