ZeeKoei
So damned hard to find a hotel that doesn't cost a fortune  (we're looking for a quad or two doubles for 2 nights, 16 to 18 august) sooo hard to find available rooms and the few we find are at €100/person/night seems as absolute minimum :( is there anyone who knows a hotel that is still available in the athens region (near metro line) and a bit less expensive? or other solutions? I'm getting a little desperate
Harry
I don't really know anything but I can look a little. I wouldn't expect anything cheaper than $200/night but maybe.
Harry
This place lists hotels in Piraeus. Look for city names other than Athens. http://www.pireasweb.gr/tourism/accomodati...tion/hotels.htm Also look here: http://hotelsofgreece.com/athens/index.html Try contacting a bunch of them. Also Athens hotels from Trip Advisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g189400-...ica-Hotels.html
Harry
This might be useful to you. It was linked off of the Athens2004 site. http://www.jetsetsports.net/athens2004/acc...gesOverview.asp

Vaggar
According to a report that I read today in a Greek newspaper (www.enet.gr) around 6000 rooms in Athens have not been booked yet, so the hotels are going to reduce the prices. I know that it may be risky, but if you wait a week or so, you may find a good deal.

ZeeKoei
thanks for the hints guys :D We found a place to stay in Paleo Faliro, 16 to 18 august, not the most central place of Athens, but we are happy with the deal and it is only for two nights (the third night we aren't going to sleep :)
