Three Turkish TV channels, Kanal D, Show TV, and NTV (a trusted news channel) has also confirmed this news. John Carew has been having personal issues in his family since his brother suicided himself. This took him a little bit longer to decide before signing the contract with Besiktas. His mother didn't want him to play far away for the reasons you might guess after loose of her son. According to the news Besiktas will be paying John Carew $2.25M for the first year, For the second and third year he will recieve %10 annual salary raise. Besiktas will pay approximately $4.0M to Carew's Club Valencia FC. Carew has spent his last season in Roma FC. He scored 6 goals during the time he has played for Roma FC. He was on loan at Roma which has expired and he was thinking of getting back to Valencia. He has recieved the offer from Besiktas which was hard to decline. We are welcoming John Carew to the BlackEagles. We hope everything will be great for him and for Besiktas. He should know something, We expect a lot from him, he will see the best hospitality of Turkey while he is playing with Besiktas. Besiktas fans will welcome him as he is a legend. Velkommen!
