The preliminary and finals will be played at the peace & Friendship Stadium, which has a capacity of 14,000 spectators. Group A: Argentina, GREECE, France, Poland, Serbia/Montenegro, Tunisia Group B:Australia, Brazil, Holland, Italy, Russia, USA The competition schedule is as follows: Day 1: 15.08.2004 Group A GREECE - Tunisia Argentina - France Serbia/Montenegro - Poland Group B Brazil - Australia Italy - USA Holland - Russia Day 2: 17.08.2004 Group A GREECE - Poland France - Serbia/Montenegro Tunisia - Argentina Group B Australia - Russia USA - Holland Brazil - Italy Day 3: 19.08.2004 Group A GREECE - Argentina Serbia/Montenegro - Tunisia Poland - France Group B Italy - Australia Holland - Brazil Russia - USA Day 4 : 21.08.2004 Group A GREECE - France Tunisia - Poland Argentina - Serbia/Montenegro Group B Australia - USA Brazil - Russia Italy - Holland Day 5: 22.08.2004 Group A GREECE - Serbia/Montenegro Poland - Argentina France - Tunisia Group B Holland - Australia Russia - Italy USA - Brazil The top 4 teams from each group will qualify to the Quarterfinals. The teams finishing in 5th place will play a game for the 9th & 10th Place, while teams that finish last in the group will play a game for the 11th & 12th Place. I would have thought that the greek Team would play the night session (just like basketball). They are listed first game in that link... Ziaka Posted August 25, 2004 Author Share Posted August 25, 2004 The Greek volleyball team commited suicide in their quarterfinal game against USA. :tdown: :tdown: :tdown: While leading the game 2-1 sets, they were winning in the 4th set by the score 20-11, and all they needed was 5 ponts to clinch the game.
