Alexa
Southampton goalkeeper Alan Blayney has turned down the chance to go with Northern Ireland on their three game tour of the Carribbean - opening the door to Michael Ingham, of Wrexham, or Linfield's Alan Mannus. Blayney hit the headlines last week when making his Premiership debut is off on holiday today. Lawrie Sanchez contacted him on Sunday and asked him to go. But he had booked a holiday to South Africa some time ago. So it would cost him a lot of money to cancel. Blayney hopes to get another chance. Manchester United's Roy Carroll has ruled himself out, leaving Sanchez to name a back-up keeper to Maik Taylor. The IFA was last night trying to make contact with Ingham, on loan from Sunderland. If not then Mannus, who impressed the Northern Ireland manager during the recent Under-23 international friendly against Serbia and Montenegro at Mournview Park, will land a dream call. :box: UPDATE: Ingham got the nod from Sanchez and goes on tour with NI.
