Ziaka
The Poland - Greece friendly game will be available on tape-delayed basis on May 29 on the Setanta Pub Channel. Check your local establishments for carriage. For times and information check the TV Schedules
fotissoccer
This story with the Setanta pubs and generally with the Greek soccer on USA tv is at least redicilous! The nearest pub from me is at least 100 miles so practically i can not watch any game. I am frustrated! I have been trying for years a way to watch some international games either with the national team or with other greek clubs but i have already gave up. At least i will watch Olympiakos-Aigaleo next week. What can i say..........
evalagoal
Ziaka, Isn't there an alternative way to cathc these games? I think that it's a great point about "driving 100 miles" to watch the National Team play. How come none of the Big 3 Dish Network stations do not show the games? Atleast EPT?? Thank Harris
Ziaka
It's a matter of who owns the TV rights to the games, and unfortunately the rights for North America for this game are owed by Setanta Sports.
frappe27
If anybody is looking for a location to watch the game follow this link http://linux967.dn.net/setanta/jsp/NA_venues.jsp If there's not a venue near you there is another link you can follow on that page so they may provide you an alternative option if available
Exocet
Anyone know if Alpha Sat will carry the Greece-Poland game? You figure if Alpha TV is going to carry it that the Sat channel will as well. Probably not, due to the fact that Setanta probably has the North American rights to broadcast the game. Exocet
frappe27
Well Setenta may have the rights to this game but they are broadcasting with a 3 hour delay due to the euro U-21 tournament. Greece is playing Liechtenstein on June 3rd so hopefully Alpha might show it
evalagoal
I just called Dish Network and they are offering a package for all the games for $179.99 I guess this is the way that I'm going to have to go in order to watch the games... Has anyone else heard about this??
Ziaka
Yes, that's right and it is for the Euro 2004 competition. The complete package, all games is 179.00. You can also get individual games at 19.99 per game for group games, and 24.99 per for quarterfinals and up.
