JOHNNY
Stangest story to appear last week must be the proposal by Hearts to play a league match, most probably against Celtic, next season in Melbourne. Anyone down under have any news on this obscure money making idea. I have to question if aussie and expat soccer fans would attend in great numbers. Rangers - Celtic maybe, but Hearts?? http://sport.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=249012004 Which foriegn match would attract the largest and most fanatical crowd down there? Irlandos
Why not? You'd attract Catholics and Protestants, Glaswegians and Edinburghers. And everyone would have someone to cheer for - or jeer - as the case may be! :P
pao_sydney
If u`ve ever seen sydney when theres an old firm game on, you`d know that its a great idea. The pubs in the city are always overflowing with 1000's of hoops. Celtic have a massive supporter base down here, and i could just about guarantee a massive crowd if this proposal ever came through.
