Bravo!!! Pana is 21st in all of Europe. Wow. What's even more surprising is that AEK is as high as they are given what has happened the last 2 seasons or so. And PAOK in 50th, just ahead of Oly...pretty cool!

I might be able to answer that. The UEFA Club Rankings rates each club for how they played from the past five years. In 2001, Rayo Vallecano made it to the UEFA Cup Quarter Finals where they lost to Alaves of Spain. The other numbers they have are low, but that season brought them up to the top 50. I am very proud of Panathinaikos staying in the top 25 mark. :nw: :nw: They are above Bayer Leverkusen, Chelsea, PSV Eindhoven, and Celtic. This is a great accomplishment!!! :D :tup: What I'm shocked at is how low Olympiakos is. :blink: They are seven time Greek champions, so shouldn't they play the same as they play at home turf? Well from this chart, I guess not. :lol:

These are more accurate cause a lot of things have changed since 99. It's the last 4 years of european play including this year. Plus it makes us look better. :P

where is your source for this hollywood? its not on uefa.com, and i find it very hard to beleive Oly is in 53. Ok i hate them but hey got just as many points in the CL as PAO, and have won 7 straight <_< ...... while PAOK makes it 1 round in UEFA and finishes 4th every year.

And I agree with you drakos13, Olympiakos should be a lot higher, even though I'm not a big fan for them. :not: I think they should be up to at least the top 30 with Hertha and Bordeaux. As for PAOK, I think they should be in that position. :D They do make the UEFA Cup quite often. :la:

For a teak to be higher on the table they need to win games and qualify for next phases. If a team doesn't participate it only gets the country start up numbers. ie Panionios would get about 3,000 points if they dont play in europe as would every greek team. teams from other countires with more success get a highter number of points automatically. after that you have to get results to climb up the ladder and not lose your games 7-0.

Paok they never made it past the 32 of uefa and that was 3 of the last 5 years

and since when is Rayo Valeccano going to the final 8 of the uefa better then going to the 8 of C.L

These are the rankings uefa uses to determine how many teams each country gets in europe and the seeds for the tournaments also. These are 100% legit.

This is the same site but with the rankings from 2003. Notice that Manchester United is 3rd. :la: I believe that these rankings don't favour other teams.

Celta did something this year that Oly hasen't done in 5 or 6 years and that is make it to the second round of the champions league, and they beat out ajax and brugge to get there. Alaves is there cause they reached the uefa cup final.

this is all of european history to this date...i dunno about the other teams but just cause they are not doing too well now...Udinese and alaves have had alot of european success in the past...even afew years ago...alavews made the uefa cup finals...they used to be a force in spain and eurpoe...

Really, I think that Thrynos should have been even lower than it is now... Not that I am a fanatic against them but it is the truth.... Although I cant see how the worse team in Europe EVER (PAOK) can be in the first 50 teams. They should have been even lower that Thrynos and they are clearly the biggest disgrace of Greek football!!! I think the worst senario would be for PAOK to be in the CL this year!!! This would be a disaster for Greek football and the rankings!!! They are incapable of beating any team in Europe,,, Actually I prefer the LAMOIA Egaleo to enter the Cl....

But again even if PAOK manages to get the 3rd place, there is a qualifying round which they need to get through and I seriously doubt if they can do it regardless the opponent team.....
