"Heavy expressions by Angelos Spyridon in Metropolis 95.5 against the players and the coach of Mars to mark the team's racing image."

Συμφωνώ, δεν θα τους έλεγα αμπαλους, αλλά ντεφορμέ.

We ask members to post the topic title in English, and that the first post of the topic include a reference in English sufficient enough for the non-Greek speaking visitor to understand what the topic is about.

Thank you. - Lazarus

Ok Lazarus, but I guess even non-Greek speaking visitors who follow Greek football  (=soccer) know that Aris isn't translated as "Mars"... :)

Funny! Yes, you are right. Can't trust Google for a decent translation anymore. :play-448698:  Thanks for making me laugh. Ακρως διασκεδαστικό. I admit to it -  guilty as charged.

Anyway, reading about Aggelos Spyridon brought back memories. For those of us old enough to have experienced him in his hay-days, he was quite the terror for all offensive players, ο βράχος της αμυνας του Άρη. Αααχχχ, οι παλιές καλές ημέρες!  Χρηστίδης, Αλεξιάδης, Σπυρίδων... We have a wiki entry for Aris on the Phantis Wiki, but not enough people to help contribute details. Any volunteers to help add to the Aris and the Aris players entries? Let's promote Aris by informing people about the huge part that Aris plays in Thessaloniki sports history, and Greek sports history for that matter.

Too early to judge the new coach.

As for Angelo, old timers almost always complain about the younger generation although I wouldn't mind someone with his knowledge of the team history in the locker room reminding them who they play for.
