Ao Peristeri - Aek

AEK's 3rd game is against AO Peristeri.

AEK scored a goal in the 27', when Popovic headed home, but the ref disallowed it for offside.

Our right winger was indeed offside but the scorer was not. The goal should have stood.

HT: AO Peristeri - AEK 0-0

Our best player, Platellas, was injured when he collided with the AOP goalkeeper.

I hope he can continue in the 2nd half.

Note: the goalkeepers in the Greek C' Division are better than I expected, the referees worse.

56' The ref stops an AEK breakaway AGAIN with a non-existant offside.

AGAIN there were players on the wing who were offside but they were NOT involved in the play.

The fans are getting restless and are throwing bottles on the pitch and chanting nasty slogans!

FT: AO Peristeri - AEK 0-0

The disallowed goal proved to be decisive in this match however, AOP presented AEK with the best defensive setup so far this season.

On the plus side, Popovic has made a remarkable improvement since his first game which will help AEK in the future.
