Kanadezos Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 I have been following Diogo since his return and I must say, he isn't the same player he was when he first started... His first season he had 9 goals (I believe). However, he may not score many goals as before but he does pass the ball very well to his teammates. Yesterday's game with Aris, though he himself lost on one or two great scoring chances, he was able to give 2 great (assist) passes to Mirallas who missed on both occasions. I believe, Valverde has helped him with his confidence and maybe he will be more of a passer type player than a finisher. Valverde seems to be able to boost or regain a players soccer "mojo", putting Maniatis as a midfielder was an amazing discovery/transformation.
