pao123
we will continue our perfect record at home. even if quincy and leto are both missing i think we will squeeze out a win. lazaro is back and will probably start. my only qualm about ferreira is him playing kats in the back...bjarsmyr has done a great job whenever called upon and we are sorely missing katsouranis distribution and tempo in the midfield... if both player are missing we should play... karnezi, spyropoulo, marino, sarriegi, bjars, simao, katsourani, cleyton, lazaro, mavria, toche. zeca NEEDS a rest but will be getting one vs ergoteli anyway because of cards. he is not the same player as the first round, it is obvious he has heavy legs and it is warranted. he hasnt played at this competitive level for the entire season game in game out in his career so it is logical that he needs a break. i can also see us playing simao, vitolo in the middle with katsourani in front of them and leave cleyton on the bench. vyntra has been horribly out of form as well, so its time marino steps in. lazaro may not be 100% ready but we need him to step up. Irlandos
HT: PAO - Xanthi 0-0 PAO are clearly dominating but are finding a clogged-up Xanthi penalty area in front of them and, so far, have not been able to break through.

pao123
hats off to ferreira who single handidly won us this match...you probably wont hear the media talk about this but his experience won it here... his goal in the first half was to possess the ball and tire xanthi out, he knew they would stack their defense much like they did against okympiakos and try to catch us on the counter. we had 65% possession, despite not causing chances, they were chasing us around...he knew we would not win the game through the middle, so he sent marino forward towards the end of the first half. after half time, he brought lazaros on, pushed him and zeca closer to the middle, allowing marino and spyropoulo to come forward and attack from the wings. marino had a fantastic game, probably his best in a pao jersey. he is improving and proving a more stable player than vyntra has been so far this season. by adding petro, he was playing to the strengths which we had on the bench. our quickness (quincy, leto) were gone so he played to our height and physical strength up front. this paid off as their defense had to drop in deeper to cover both forwards, allowing lazaro pockets to play inside...he took advantage, we scored. xanthi opened up to change the match, but by that time they were so tired that they could not handle the run and gun game and we scored another two easily. if there was another 5 minutes we would have scored another. his plan played out this time. he worked it very well and very smart. he showed faith in our players and made the best of what he had. moreover, he is figuring out ways to open up teams that come and play all out defense, which is something that many managers that come here fail to do. the same sort of thing happens in portugal, he he obviously has the right exprience. lazaro was a game changer...he has come back hungry as he also knows he has enough time to possibly get into the ethniki this summer. he still needs time, but his will is there..bjarsmyr was solid at the back...we still havent conceeded this season with him starting.
