Playoffs: Week 2,Omonoia-APOEL

Recommended Posts

Monday at the GSP, Omonoia is the home side against APOEL. APOEL won both regular season matchups. What might things be like with more at stake? Omonoia need this more than APOEL. Hopefully that desperation pilots them to victory. PAME OMONOIA!

A pass by Aloneftis starts the play, to Grammozis, ball pinballs around to Zlogar, who hits the post, but Alabi is right there to pick up the garbage, and give Omonoia the lead

Konstantinou heads it on for Zlogar, but Zlogar can't pull the trigger. All kinds of pressure from Omonoia in the first 30 minutes

First bit of APOEL pressure, Pinto heads Marcin Zewlakow's cross, which Giorgallidis tips over the net for a corner

Alexandrou to take a corner, here he goes, Kontis gets to it, the shot, misses the net

Aloneftis sets up Konstantinou who can't get the shot off. Hour gone at the GSP, Omonoia still up 1-0 in front of their fans

And it backfires, Alexandrou's corner once again finds Kontis, but this time Kontis doesn't miss. 1-1

Duro IN

Grammozis OUT

Grammozis has been involved in much of the Omonoia offense, why pull him now?

Mirosavjevic in on goal, Giorgallidis keeps it level

Kaiafas IN

Aloneftis OUT

My cousin replaces Aloneftis. Lemonis is out of moves, and maybe that's a good thing because none of these make sense

Satsias IN

Onwuachi OUT

All changes have been made. Both captains start on the bench, and now can lead their teams on the pitch, in these final 10 minutes plus whatever is added on

Duro misses the net. Duro has scored some big goals this season, does he have one here today?
