Congrats. Real will qualify, but it's open for the other 3 teams. If you win in Italy you should be fine.

question: if it ended today, Oly & Latsio are exactly equal. Who qualifies in such a tie?

I believe them since they scored one goal here in our first game.
Actually I still think that Werder may be more of a threat to you. I can see gavroi going to Italy and beating Latsio... in which case you're in.

btw, 8??!!! Wow! I'd like to see those goals.

I was afraid of Werder more than Lazio but now with Diego out for the next game against Real Madrid because of a red card i can not see them going through as the 2 team in our group unless the game in Italy between us and Lazio ends with a draw.

If two or more teams are level on points they are split by (a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question, (B) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question © higher number of goals scored away from home the group matches played among the teams in question (d) superior goal difference from all matches played, (e) higher number of goals scored, (f) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question, as well as their association, over the previous five seasons.

But, what does this (f) is supposed to mean? Like how many points Oly? Greece? Greek teams in Europe?....

good result but truthfully not a good performace by oly...you were saved by acouple great individual pefromances like pantos and nikopolidis...you guys didnt look like a unified team, lua lua was an example of this..someone said lua lua looked dangerous, i completely disagree. he needs to play more with the team then with himself..he was trying to do the impossible at times and looked very selfish but in all honesty, the game for oly was revolving around individual efforts...anyway, it was a good result for oly and i think u can definitly progress now..shame about bravo as well..hopefully he will be ok...

the result was good because Real has now not automatically qualified and they still need to play against Werder and Lazio. Especially if the get a draw in their next game (against Werder) they must beat Lazio.

I see that with a draw in Lazio and a win at home in the last game OSFP can qualify.

Victory against Lazio means qualification automatically (unless werder beats Real Madrid).

I think OSFP can do it. It is in their legs!

Im just gonna say that i am happy with the draw and the point. I like the point made above about how we took away two points from madrid and they didnt automaticall quallify. Now Real are gonna put a full field vs bremen and take some points from bremen. :tup:

Anyways about this game... Im satisfied of how we played especially under the circomstances. I was VERY impressed with pantos. We coulda won this game if we had better performances from stoltidis and kovasivic. Despite making many mistakes the D was solid. But the man who kept us in in from start to finish, the man of the match IMO, was nikopolidis. So far hes been the player of the tournement for us and has played very well in europe.

I cant wait till lazio...1-0 Patsa 34th min, with NIKO coming up big again :D . Also RVR will get 2 and beat bremen 2-0.

We coulda got the win but by how we played im sattisfied :gr: :gr:

I think is Olympiakos points plus greece total points in the last 5 years.

Nikopolidis and Pantos were simple amazing.Really great performance from both of them. :tup:

Pragmati re, they were great! Patsa was superb too. The next game against Lazio is HUGE if we win that we'll qualify, if not the best we can hope for is a UEFA Cup spot because assuming Real secure qualification in the next game against Weder then they won't play a full strength side against Lazio and the Italians will win. We have to beat Lazio.

I was at the game!

An amazing experience. :)

I agree many of the assessments of both Nikopolidis and Pantos. They really were great.

Pantos didn't offer much in the way of offensive threat or overlapping runs on the right, but he's defensive play and positioning was outsanding. That lil shizzer Robinho rarely got the better of him.

I also think that Antonis finally proved that he is capable of saving us.

LuaLua was simply horrible in the 1st half. He nearly cost us 2 goals with poor passes in a minute and he just looked frustrated out there. He was playing in a deeper wing position and he just looked like he was hoping to play the centre forward role that Darko played, and for the most part played well. He was holding the ball up well but didn't have many runners off him to cause any real damage to Real.

All in all, a draw is a good result as Oly didn't play that great in my opinion.

Greece can and propably will pass the 2 countries in front of us since Bulgaria has no teams left while Switzerland has only 2 compared to our 6. :tup:
