Ziaka
Now that Goumenos is supposedly out of the loop, rumors are going around that PAOK will be acquired by a new owner by Summer. The latest name that is being linked with PAOK is Alexander Spanos, the real estate businessman from California, who is # 606 on the Forbes list. His son runs the San Diego Chargers NFL team. According to the rumors the Spanos family wants to invest in Northern Greece. Let's not forget all the names we have heard in the past, so don't get your hopes up. Ziaka
Another Greek-American has been linked to purchasing PAOK. His name is Kostas Alexakis. He was born in Greece in 1954 and left for USA in 1967. His company tried in the past to purchase the economically bankrupt Olympic Airways. He might still be after the Olympic Airways, and PAOK might the stepping stone for that goal. During an interview today he said that he was looking at acquiring PAOK, but until the government erases some of th PAOK debt, nobody will touch the team. Ziaka
Rumors are that PAE PAOK is close to being sold. Vezyrtzis yesterday said that they are talking to an interested party and everything is being kept secret on purpose. Also yesterday the Nea Dimokratia representative Rapti visited PAE PAOK offices. I wonder what is going on. Today several PAOK based forums are buzzing that something is going on. We'll have to wait and see if this itrue or just another pappas. Ziaka
Tsalgik, can't say I don't agree with you, but like you say it is very hard that it will ever happen. I believe that even if we fall to D' Division and start from the beginning, the same lamogia will get involved with PAOK once again.

Ziaka
Something might be cooking behind the scenes. It was announced by AS PAOK that they will hold a general meeting on June 4th to discuss building a new Toumba stadium. This might be in preparations for a possible bid for PAE PAOK. paoknyc
Alexakis is no different than Savvidis he only wants to get his hands on Toumba. T The difference is that Savvidis actually has some money whereas Alexakis does not. Alexakis has investors who will only be interested if Toumba is part of the package. paoknyc
ALL IN ALL SAVVIDIS OR ALEXAKIS ALL THAT MATTERS IN THE END IS WILL HE INVEST IN THE TEAM TO MAKE IT THE POWER HOUSE THAT IT DESERVES TO BE AND THEN HE CAN USE TOUMBA ALL HE WANTS TO MAKE MORE MONEY. ;) Investors interested in paok don't look at it that way... they want to make $$$ on Toumba first and then maybe, just maybe they will think about spending some money on making Paok a powerhouse.
