Anorthosis midfielder and former NT member Lazaros said he deserved a callup saying he does not know many Greek midfielders who have 12 goals this season. He has been playing well in the Cypriot league so maybe Poyet could have given him a look but at 35 its a long shot that he would have any role in our Euro aspirations.

Reports from England state George Baldock is very close to obtaining his Greek citizenship. Also Olympiakos are looking at a potential deal to bring him in as well.

Manolas will be in the plans for the NL and then for the Euros no doubt. For these friendlies why did he call up Staf? Rest of the selections are decent. I want to see Alexandropoulos get lots of minutes.

Looks like our first two NL games in Greece will most likely be played in Volos.

I am good with Manolas getting playing time and being a key piece of the team. As for Sokratis his form is off lately, maybe Poyet uses him of the bench and calls him up to mentor the younger players.

Hopefully he does well and gets results right away as he said its about wins. Poyet's contract runs until December 2023 so if we don't win the NL we or perform badly we can replace him going into the Euro qualification.

Kotsiras should have got a chance to play at RB for the Ethniki but the clown JVS wanted to go with the players you stated. JVS sabotaged us in the wcup qualifiers with his foolish call ups and playing players out of their natural positions. At least under Poyet we will not watch Tsimikas playing at CB.
