  1. bosnia doesn't need to have something themselves, they have us saving their lives matchday after matchday when we can't finish the job (belgium and bih away, now estonia at home) winning one of these matches would mean the group would be already over. but no, thanks to us it's not.

a draw against belgium is possible only because we can't do anything else than playing on counters as we saw today.

and the awesome defence of estonia wasn't testsed once, we only played with long balls, what did you expect.

our 2nd options in defence are a total joke. talking about vellios, mpakasetas, diamantakos, gianniotas etc..

still can't get over this result...

  2. we'll need to beat one of the 2 games vs cyprus and belgium DESPERATELY. bosnia will drop points to belgium (not sure about estonia). if we say that both greece and bosnia will beat gibraltar and both will lose to belgium, then all is up to cyprus game for greece and estonia game for bosnia. i can't see how we're going to score against cyprus, i'm predicting a draw there and if cyprus beats estonia in 2 days they will be in the race for the second place which means they will not gift us any points. better for us to beat belgium and finish the job otherwise it's highly unlikely to wait for a miracle in the next 2 games..bravo for kicking away such a chance..now we'd only have to beat gibraltar at home and would be at least 2nd no matter what.......

  3. what does the club soccer have to do with this...skibbe is a complete moron for sitting samaris out and playing TZIOLIS instead, for refusing to call up our 2 in-form rbs mpakakis and koutris (with torosidis being injured) and played  a CENTRE BACK instead, for not calling up lazaros who is the only winger capable of doing something good..he was lucky not lose bosnia and belgium games, basically we have played no football during the campaign, it looks we're back in our 2016 form where cyprus and estonia outplayed us and we couldn't score for a whole half against gibraltar (and also losing to belarus at home in a friendly game)..btw what about his tactics? LONG BALLS against a 5 men defence? we had only 2 good chances in the whole game, nothing else...p-a-t-h-e-t-i-c...

  4. where did i cry for tachtsidis not playing...are you delusional or what? i'm complaining about vellios who can't crack into nottingham forest's bench. regarding samaris he is not playing because 1) he is suspended and 2) benfica look to sell him. not because he unskilled like your crush vellios.

and stop insulting me, you must be obsessed. if you don't like my posts then don't read them...

  5. zeca and bouchalakis have never played together, i'd put samaris there instead of bouchalakis. he's a better player and i think him not playing lately isn't a reason of concern, estonian midfielders are not too much of a threat. samaris also needs to start because he'll be needed for the belgium game. i expect torosidis not to start and some key players like fortounis or mantalos who had a full schedule latelty to be subbed off if we have a decent lead, closing the game

  6. whatever you say. friendlies? lol. what about actual games. he's not been in the squad for a 5th game in row in the league, doesn't even play in the cup. stop defending him like he's done anything worth bragging. he doesn't even earn his place here, he should be thankful we have no strikers. and i'm not clueless, that's you who thinks vellios is important for the team while he's not. same as last year, after januray he wasn't even making their squad. hopefully he and skibbe's buddy diamantakos will be the last choices in the selection if there are no absentees.

sokratis also injured. he would miss estonia game anyway but he's a big loss if he can't play in the one against belgium. tbh i don't see bosnia coming close to even beating them in an empty stadium, with their crap defence they'll concede 2-3 goals easily. so us losing to belgium won't hurt, if we take care of estonia and then cyprus-gibraltar.

Bouchalakis starting once again in Championship. I fail to see how he will not play against Estonia. Him,Zeca, Siopis,Tziolis are the only players who have had playtime so far in the midfield. I doubt we see Tziolis in this match. Zeca seems a starter.

and vellios once again not even on the bench..he's not worth anything now, i'd gladly take some superleague striker instead of him. same for diamantakos, basically 2 out of 5 players in cf position play in b divisions and basically they don't even make the starting 11..i hope athanasiadis finds his form, he's more useful than both of these unskilled nt materials..

on other news torosidis seems to be injured and i think he'll miss the games. probably tzavellas will start in front of him but i'd prefer lykogiannis

  8. i think papadopoulos will start since he's better in the air than retsos. also nt usually uses a 4-2-3-1 formation, i guess we'll see something like that

    karnezis

    torosidis manolas papadopoulos stafylidis

    samaris zeca (or tachtsidis, kourmpelis)

    mantalos fortounis donis

    mitrogloy (or vellios)

as i said athanasiadis would be a welcome addition if he finds his form

Karnezis, Stafylidis, Samaris Tachtsidis, Mitroglou were all not even on the bench for their clubs in weekend domestic league action.

karnezis is expected to move in watford or crystal palace, samaris to west brom or newcastle, stafylifis to hamburg.

you don't nobody when he's about to get a transfer to minimize the chance of an injury that would ruin it.

tachtsidis was not 100% healthy but will probably be ready for the game tomorrow and mitroglou is also injured but with less chances to play in these games.

  10. durdjevic is a done deal, he will land to athens after the partizan-red star game in 27th. and from what i've read ben will be utilized more as a winger.

anyway the point is that vellios should move from nottingham sooner that later. but i don't see that happening so at least when karelis is back, he can be a reliable second choice after mitroglou, donis too under circumstances but i see him more as a winger in the nt. in that case vellios wil be third-fourth option in the rotation and that wouldn't bother me as he won't be playing if all out strikers are healthy.

ps. athanasiadis moved to maccabi haifa after rejecting konyaspor. hoping for him to find his old self, that would be a big boost for our cf position.

  11. if olympiakos gets past rjieka that would bring greece in the 12th place right away since the qualification in the cl group stage guarantees a bonus of 800 points to greece. moreover we should expect olympiakos to win in croatia and paok in sweden which would bring 400 more points. i hope aek finally manages to score a goal and progress to europa league too, but it would be hard as they have livaja and giakoumakis out, mpakasetas is coming off an injury and their only striker is almeida.. but i think they will find their way to el. i'm speechless about panathinaikos thouhg, they blew out such a lead in a very typical manner, now i just hope they will not give up in spain and take at least a draw (don't think it's going to happen though).

from austria, altach is almost out after losing to maccabi at home but austria and red bull are in..viktoria plzen from czech republic has the egde over the cypriot aek but they'll have not to lose with a 2 goal lead in order to get in the group stage. another czech side, slavia, is alsong facing a team from cyprus and they're almost out after losing in cyprus but they have guaranteed at least the europa league group stage. as was pointed above i don't see neither of them making any noise in europe apart from red bull but that wouldn't be enough to save them if from greece, olympiakos paok and aek manage to progress to their respective competitions.

  12. i hope he comes to olympiakos even if he's a 3rd option behind emenike and djurdjevic. at least he'll be playing in the greek league quite often with the rotation that will be needed during the season. and that's a logical thought since ansarifard will be gone soon, and that leaves olympiakos with 2 strikers. ben will me moved to the wings, so vellios could come here.

  13. btw needless to say that vellios is not even in the squad for nottingham forest lately... that guy is dumb. after a bad experience with everton he found his old self in iraklis and instead of greece's big-4 he chooses to play in a relegation side in championship where he's not even in the bench..he's lucky we have a very poor striker selection and still gets called up in the national team. he should move somewhere else ASAP. what a tragedy...
