so what did and fetfatzidis really offer to us? they were never an integral part of past nts and now at their prime one is playing in saudi arabia and the other in israel..

now that the players choose skibbe to stay, it will be more up to them that the clueless german coach if we don't make it to the euros. period.

israel are not that good nowdays but yeh it will be tough to take them down. but i do rate montenegro, norway and bulgaria higher than so i think this is the best option for us.

your argument makes sense only about mitroglou who along with cholevas are the only diaspora players we have had for like 10 years or so. donis was born and raised in greece and juventus scouted him so he moved there. it's not that he was born and raised in italy to claim that. do you know how many kids around the world move to big academies every year?

in fact the best team in league c is serbia and we can't draw them since we are in the same pot. i would be fine with; romania/hungary greece israel cyprus/lithuania

friendlies? are we ever going to play any friendlies, mr skibbe? these games where you got to test some players that undeservedly are out of the team instead of some scrubs..another factor in which skibbe has made several mistakes..how do you expect us to improve as a team when we play no friendlies to test other alternatives or formations... skibbe has to go. they say he will stay because vrizas and the players want him to do so. (i explained above why they do want him). if there's a chance he is not staying is because he was not selected by the current group of people that runs epo. new presidency usually select their own coach, it's been happening forever with us. im calling it as far as we our absentees are better than those who are in the team we are not achieving anything. he's been awful at selecting players and preparing the team throughout the game. ok take that. you people want fortounis to perform and always bash him when he doesn't. truth is he's not the same players as 1,5 year ago. BUT. him and mitroglou are completely disconnected from the rest of the team. "wingers" are asked to defend more than attack (mantalos!, stafylidis!!, zeca!!!) and secondly how can you expect to have some creativity in your game with tziolis over there? is skibbe blind and doesn't understand it? go to rewatch all of our games again and tell me with which one you got pleased by our football. against gibraltar both games were ugly by us. against cyprus 2 out of 4 goals against them came off dreadful individual mistakes. against estonia, from set pieces. what's the common thing over there? the fact that we have only a few goals comming by the run of play. and that's up to skibbe. people were complaining that we don't score in the past as well but in fact we were dominating the midfield looking for the best options. nowdays we surrender the midfield with tziolis' choice and our attacking third is able to get hold by some maltese defense the way it's set up. games against croatia are evident. when fortounis has the ball the his only choice is mitroglou. them 2 against 6 or 7 croats.and then you're asking from fortounis to do wonders. another fact is you're pissed with mantalos because he doesn't perform. well there's a fact. HE IS NOT A WINGER. i don't know what kind of dream skibbe saw and thinks it's a good choice to play him there. in other words; ΠΑΙΖΟΥΜΕ ΠΡΩΤΟΓΟΝΟ ΠΟΔΟΣΦΑΙΡΟ. on the other side skibbe is doing a good job at having meetings with the club's coaches and travelling around greece to watch players. that's the only positive i can see along with putting respect to our name again but i think that's up to the players too, they simply didn't want to ridicule the team and themselves anymore. i'd agree 100% to stay had we played good football and he'd call up the CORRECT corp of players. then you couldn't blame him. but since he doesn't im all in for him not to stay.

the players want him around. not a surprise considering with A FCVKING SANE coach they would never get called up(talking about vellios, diamantakos, gianniotas, tziolis, tzavellas, kolovetsion, maniatis) but instead you'd see more of siovas, cholebas, vlachodimos, mpakakis, koutris, karelis, kourmpelis etc with is something that the scrubs don't want to see. change the coach and you'll notice a big difference in our quality. i mean really how come and this group of players is ignored for a bunch of headless chicken? and then we wonder why we didn't make it to the world cup.......

you simply can't play ONE man in the midfield. it's doomed to fail by any means. i appreciate skibbe's scouting in players and meetings with the greek clubs but he's totally clueless if he keeps calling up the scrubs vellios and diamantakos (bear in mind i have nothing against them, simply shouldn't be nowhere around) as well as tzavellas, tziolis and maniatis while ignoring mpakakis, siovas and cholebas. that's simply inexcusable. also i have to say i was not pleased by the way we played in 11 out of 12 games in this campaign, aside of belgium at home. no creativity around, simply defenders all around the pitch to make sure we won't concede!! stafylidis starting as a winger, papadopoulos as a midfielders, maniatis as a right back, mantalos as a winger and many more. i don't remember any goals coming off the actual play, most of them from set pieces basically. squad and starting eleven i recommend in the next friendly games; karnezis, torosidis, sokratis, papadopoulos, manolas, stafylidis, kourmpelis, zeca, fortounis, donis, mitroglou (3-4-1-2) bench, kapino, vlachodimos, mpakakis, siovas, lykogiannis, retsos, samaris, tachtsidis, pelkas, karelis, lazaros, mpakasetas mpakasetas out once mantalos comes backk off injury. no more srcubs around.

there's no need for him to be around in full squad. mantalos and mpakasetas on one side, donis and lazaros in the other one. fortounis and pelkas as attacking midfielders and karelis with mitroglou as strikers. simple as that.

he has done a good job on that part but on the other had he has been awful in selecting squads and starting xi. how the FCVK can you start tzavellas for cholebas, pick kolovetsios over siovas!!!!!! and ignore vlachodimos mpakakis and lazaros!!!!! just to call up a panetolikos keeper, maniatis and gianniotas???? or excluding karelis for headless chickens vellios and diamantakos..starting tziolis instead of kourmpelis etc... if tzavellas, maniatis, vellios, diamantakos, kolovetsios and gianniotas get called up again then he should fire himself. tziolis i wouldn't mind being around BUT NOT starting! in the next campaign aside of the first 2 that qualify automatically the 4 best 3rd placed teams will be in the playoffs for an extra ticket. if we fcvk this up... anyways i checked the pots earlier, we're pot 3. here are our potential candidates POT 1 germany, portugal, poland, france, england, spain, italy, iceland, belgium, switzerland POT 2 croatia, netherlands, austria, wales, russia, slovakia, sweden, ukraine, ireland, bosnia POT 4 albania, norway, montenegro, israel, bulgaria, finland, estonia, lithuania, cyprus, azerbaijan POT 5 skopje, belarus, georgia, armenia, latvia, faroes, luxemburg, kazakhstan, moldova, liechtenstein POT 6 malta, andorra, kosovo, san marino, gibraltar draw is on december 2nd. an ideal group would be iceland/poland/switzerland russia/slovakia/ukraine greece cyprus/lithuania/estonia latvia/moldova/liechtenstein san marino/gibraltar

oh yeah let's put mantalos on the bench, an important part of a europa league team to start this average man. i mean we would to qualify in the world cup with B LEAGUE players? says a lot for the state of our football. gianniotas shouldn't even be in the talks for a call up, let alone the bench. hopefully with mantalos, karelis and donis in, vellios, gianniotas and diamantakos will be kicked out once and for all :)

from whom is he going to get that spot? lazaros and mantalos start for aek, donis for stuttgart, and mpakasetas is not a winger to say he will get replaced by him. his natural position is behind the striker. even pelkas is a starter in paok and i don't like him that much tbh. on the other side gianniotas is a bench warmer in a mid table second spanish division club. so, who do you think deserves it more?

or he is only playing with passion for the nt. but you can't rely on such a guy. if he comes back to olympiakos next year prove himself as a rotation player or even starter then i am in. but not at the moment. thank god there are not any other official games around because i couldn't deal watching skibbe's selections.

maybe because he is simply an average football player? the fact that no one of the last 5-6 olympiakos coaches kept him in the squad speaks volumes.

no unless he proves himself on a bigger stage. FFS he's a bench warmer in spain's SECOND division in a MID TABLE team. as far as the dynamite argument is concerned i could care less about any actual play in the 85th minute.

don't act like 2014 team would do better than the current one. if you remember they suffered a 3-1 loss to bosnia and played some ugly football against slovakia, tbh we were lucky to win any of these teams, then lost again 3-0 to colombia in the world cup. but obviously since we made it there nobody was saying anything. same goes for the 2010 team, lost at home and away to switzerland and dropped points to moldova and israel away!!! but we got ukraine there and romania later in the playoffs which only increased our possibilies to go through as it exactly happened.

i'm not claiming having torosidis as a starter in the euros but in the campaign, which starts next september. same goes for karnezis as well. papadopoulos will not start but is a valuable back up, and samaris with tachtsidis are needed because we don't have any other high level oxtaria. kone could be added there if he shows anything with aek in the meantime, charisis, siopis etc. also mpakasetas is there because it will be too early to integrate anyone of lamprou/limnios/androutsos/manthatis at the first place, and because we lack wingers in general.

that's a nice system that i also recommend. but koutris needs work defensively, i'd trust lykogiannis more even though i believe koutris will be a valuable part of this team probably in the euros.

mpakasetas was good today, surely not worse than mantalos when he plays. anyways since the players want him around he's not moving at all. i am also reading we're moving from karaiskakis to oaka and kautatzogleio. worse decision they could ever get, oaka will be always empty.

i m not going to take for serious someone who says we are done because we couldn't get past croatia. we'll bounce back be sure about that.

i remember when rehaggel had announced he would be done if no world cup in 2010, same for karagounis/katsouranis/santos in 2014. he doesn't deserve to end his nt career like that..
