Yep that definitely came into my thinking! thanks file, fingers crossed for your bet! no better feeling than winning a multi and feeling like you are a footballing genius :D

top thread! I love losing my money on football! Got a 50 dollar bonus bet today and put the $50 on the double chance Paok or draw at 2.45 (ish) More of a faith bet then anything it'll make it that little bit sweatier if we manage to get the result. Was gonna go full faith in my lads and take us for the win at $6 but thought I'd play it "safe" ;)

The right back situation is an interesting one. I have always rated Skondras as the starter, Kitsiou as the no.2 and I guess from the limited amount I had seen of Konstantinidis didn't really rate him. Now with the change of system and us playing with wingbacks, that requires players with attacking flair and the ability to get forward and play a big role in attack.
That style is more suited to Kitsiou and Konstantinidis, who I must say has improved somewhat. Compared to Skondra who IMO is more of a classic full back, suited to a back four. He is not quiet as quick/skilful as the other two.
From what we have seen from Tudor it seems, he considers Skondras a centre back in a back 3. In which case he is no.5 in line, or to play at RWB he is at the very least behind Kitsiou and Konstantinidis. So it'll be interesting to see what happens, I rate him and hope he stays and finds a spot in the team. In saying that I believe he has to play at right back, and as long as stelio and dimitri are performing, its gonna be tough for him to break back in- 2

ahhhhhhh gotta love Greek football. How dare a coach want to come in and implement his own philosophy with his own assistants around him? That's unheard of, Schuster must be living in the 1970's very unprofessional by him

Sokratis, Hummels, Kagawa, Aubameyang and Gundagon have been left back in Germany. They are obviously still quality with the likes of Reus and Mkhitaryan amongst others. But it's still a small help, especially with the 2 starting CB's not playing, hopefully Berba, Mak, Pelkas (if he starts) can get hold of them.

good shot stopper, not so good in the air. Classic story of a keeper in Greece. Still early days for him but two mistakes coming for crosses/long balls and we concede two goals. Not sold on him yet, but as I say early days.

fingerss crossed something gets sorted for tv, so hard to watch a league game these days
-
To write us off now is ridiculous, with 5 games to play. Yes we did expect 3 points from this game and we didnt get them, is it the end of the world? No. Qualification will come down to the back to back games against the Russians. In all likelihood we will need 6 points from those games, 3 from the home game vs Qabala and anything taken off Dortmund is a bonus. It is going to be tough, but I think we'll go close to qualifying.

Something has to be going on with Malezas, the one game he played he did well. Since then he has been left out of every squad for the league games, Can't believe its fitness at this point, I think Tudor might not like his "style" of play

Looks like its Belgium in the round of 16, with a potential match up against Spain looming in the quarters.

Coaches like Magath and Greek players don't work well together. Him being that disciplined, strict and almost hard headed, he wont last half a qualifying campaign before having a falling out with the kafenio lads. That being said,I'm sure some thought the same of Otto when he first came in but who knows. If the players are willing to listen and obey 110% it could work, but I wouldn't go there if I was in charge
-
I was under the impression he was primarily a centre forward, my mistake
I honestly don't mind the look of that line-up, but I've felt that way about every team we've put out these qualifiers, they have just severely under performed. If these guys play anywhere near what they are capable we will win, that being said any win will do. -
Aravidis on the wing? Has he ever played there AEK fans?
-
same format as last year? group stage then knockout? or has it returned to a knock out format ?
-
It comes down to the contract, if a clause is put in there that the player can't play against there parent club then obviously it happens. Good move by us putting that in there, as I recall a few years ago players who we had loaned out to other Greek teams playing against us.
As for the Berbatov signing, I dont believe what I'm reading!! HUGE signing, if he plays at 75% he will dominate the superleauge. Wanna wait till its official to get too excited but this is big! Apparently PAOK is waiting to hear from Uefa if he can play in the Europa league, they are hopeful an exception will be made given the De Gea situation -
I wonder if Tudor hasn't like what he's seen from Malezas? He played in the 5-0 route, where I thought he was good and solid and hasnt seen the pitch since. Unless he is not quiet match fit and they realized that coming off the first leg against Brondby

I refuse to comment on the grounds it may incriminate me

gotta say considering we started with Dortmund thats a pretty good draw. It wont be easy, it never is but could have been far worse
-
Krasnodar from Russia, without knowing there squad I'd say thats good? lowest ranked team from pot 3
-
F*** I knew it. group C with Dortmund, pots 3/4 yet to be drawn fingers crossed for some easier opponents
-
Must win against a team that we have struggled with over the last few seasons.
Hopefully the game is shown on Antenna for us here in Australia, ridiculous still waiting for sports plus or something to come to Aus so we can watch the games -
yeah good to see most of the old posters back here! didnt barcelonapaok (cant remember he's exact name) get banned for fighting with gavori posters as well?

settled a lot better after the goal. We were able to knock the ball around a little more and defensively we weren't as stretched. Before the wonderful finish by Mak it felt like a matter of time before Dortmund would score. We were sloppy in the back when we had the ball Vitor turned it over twice but in the end we weren't punished. Need to begin the second half as we ended the first nice and tight at the back and break with purpose. There will be chances both ways, just matter of who takes them
