Bakasetas owning all set pieces is a joke. Reminding me of Karagounis all over again. This player does not have the skill for that. I agree we need to put our skill players on with a chance to win the game sooner. This match showed that we have come a long way but we are still not on the level with the big boys. We probably don't belong in League A right now but will surely take it. In the end all I really want is for them to hopefully qualify for WC.

I just don't think we have enough presence in the centre midfield it's our biggest weakness.

Their projected lineup still looks strong even with some omissions. And those given a chance could give a different look. Very difficult for sure we just can't in the end lose we must draw at minimum and hopefully the full 3 points. PAME

I'm honestly shocked. What a historic performance from the NT and especially considering George news so recent. I felt we were capable of this performances now but awesome to actually see it. What heart and character we have to get this win. I thought to myself typical English squeak out the draw we should be up at least 1 goal, as they had chances as well. But they pulled it off and delivered the deserved full points. Pavlidis gets the call and delivers the performance. We are busting with attacking options and depth and Ivan has them on a mission looks like for this performance at Wembley. Will do wonders for our ranking and our World Cup chances!!

I'm not watching but this why we don't beat these teams. We will not get that many chances need to make the few we have count especially in away fixture!

If we don't have the players full heart and commitment to this cause they really are of no use to us. Fortounis or something like him I think was the missing piece last campaign we could have easily been in the Euros. We have talented players hungry for success with the NT at the moment and must support and lean on them to deliver.

I really want Karetsas to join the fold. More for future but we cannot have enough talent at that position which typically we have been thin at.

Encouraging signs. We needed 6 points in these two games for sure and we got them. 2 clean sheets as well. Now we can play England on level ground. Many players emerging and playing well.

If we are a serious team we have to go in to Ireland and get the win. Absolute worst case scenario is a draw.

Ioannidis was impressive. Quality of opponent could be a factor Finland showed some resolve but not much. I wasn't impressed with him vs Georgia but it's clear they were very strong that day and anyway it's another story under Poyet selection.. Koulierakis was really good. He probably doesn't start without the injury and you can see right away he should be in the team. Rota was also solid, Mavro too. Tsimi was ok he can go to another level. It's hard to even judge the midfield vs this opponent as they had to play only competent and it was enough. Bouchalakis/Manto, they should not be in the team. I think the subs are forecasting change. Bakasetas was decent actually. Pelkas showed a lot of hustle but lacking quality. The subs all showed a little something but will see better as the next fixture in Ireland will be a tougher test. Konstantelias should be staring now.

Our next star defender. He should be a lock on the back line now.

Mantolas really. Why do we persist with this player? What do they see in him honestly. Bouchalakis too. It's clear they are afraid to turnover the team too quickly and are playing it safe. I really hope Ivan is quick to sub. And to be honest I know the praise is almost universal for him and what he did at PAO etc... but is this guy really a General/Leader we need to take us forward in this new era? We will see..

I like a lot of the suggestions Dean yes but I must agree a transition period would need to play out to see Bakasetas on the bench right now I feel. Especially if we want all these young players in we don't have too many quality veterans. They will give him the same role to start. For me I would use these two games and assess but be quick to make a change depending on how the game is playing out. We can't waste these games and must play our most in form players. The truth is Ivan has had almost no time to bed in his system or players and we are right into 2 important Nations League matches. These matches are more important than our qualifying if I were to guess which will be an extremely difficult path regardless. Also not holding out any hope of Fortounis return anytime soon but would be a nice addition. Maybe if we are looking close to qualifying for WC he sees the opportunity and jumps in.

Finally some good news coming our way! And in midfield so important to have better options there. Bravo Zafeiris who has shown to be a true Hellene to coming to the NT. These upcoming matches are huge before we draw the English.

Anyone know the date for the UEFA World Cup Qualifying draw? We will need some luck as Nations League group looks tough and our ranking has taken a bit of a hit since missing Euro.. Basically will need a miracle to qualify for WC but that's our specialty!
