  1. For those living in The Netherlands ( though I only know Nikitas is): The game on Thursday will be broadcasted by Sport1 Select (the Dutch Nova).
  2. 1Q 23-16 2Q 15-15 ------------- HT 38-31
  3. The new jerseys will probably be available around september 13th.
  4. The first time I went to Toumba was October 3rd 1990. I was student law at Rotterdam University and got the opportunity to study abroad. I chose Athens. I wanted to look how life was in Greece other than in summer. As there was no schedule of starting lessons at the end of September I went to some cousins in Thessaloniki to visit them. I saw a friend of mine and he told me about the UEFA-cup match agains Sevilla. So we went. Kick-off 8.30 pm. Entered the stadium 6.30 pm because otherwise we could get disappointed. Gamo tis atmosferes. I could not believe my eyes. This is where I wanted to be more often. The game itself was not a very good one. After the promissing 0-0 in Sevilla a victory was al we needed and avoiding to recieve a goal. 0-0 after extra time. So penalties to decide the game. Unfortunatelly we lost. As my friend said. Best players must not take the penalties because there is too much pressure. And he was right. Our best players missed. The hardworking defenders scored. But we gave them an applaus as heroes. Later on in my life I must have attended another 15 games in Toumba. The past 8 years with my wife and kids. All dressed in the rige fanela!
  5. After I read the post of Pontos possibly not going to Toumba due to the delay I thought this should be worthwile a new topic about our first experience in Toumba. Some are already baptised. Others still dream of making the trip to Toumba. Share your story or plans!
  6. Don't know if this is the right topic, but ok in a cafe ..... Ehhhh pizzeria you can talk about anything you want. Just reading my newspaper and saw that the wife of Artjom Rudnevs of Hamburger SV bit of his tongue during a fight. Rudnevs went to the hospital with a assumed name (Herr Muller???). Is this Karma for not coming to PAOK?
  7. The two winners will join the other 30 teams of the Football League and Super League for the Group Stage (one round robin, therefore 3 games). Each number one and two of each group will qualify for the knock-out phase. Numbers two will play numbers one in a home and away game.
  8. The opponents of PAOK Women (in the red shirts) scored a brilliant goal. NOT. Hahaha. http://www.nu.nl/sport-overig/4118158/bizar-eigen-doelpunt-in-zweedse-vrouwencompetitie.html
  9. Dobre dosal, Dimitar! Berbatov will be wearing the jersey #10. Berbatov (30-1-1981) has played for Pirin Bagoevgrad, CSKA Sofia, Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Fulham and Monaco. Berbatov is together with Christo Bonev alltime topscorer for the Bulgarian National team with 48 goals. It should be noted that Bonev has 96 caps (av. 0.50) and Berbatov 78 caps (av. 0.62)
  10. Wow, PAOK's commercial department is in full gear. Berbatov has not yet arrived in Thessaloniki, but I already got a message in my hotmail account to pre-order the rige fanela 15-16 of Berbatov. Bravo! Looks like we finally stepped in the 21st century at some point. On the other hand: Why pre-order instead of having the Macron jersey in stock....
  11. Qabala and PAOK agreed that Pereyra will not play against us. Don't know about these rules in Europe. In England it is very common and allowed to do so. In the Netherlands it is not allowed.
  12. @Pontos: Sorry to bring you the bad news. Hope you can change the date. @Original 21: www.fcpaok.net and it is usual in Greece, because everybody has to vote in his hometown so there is always a mass migration those day as nobody registres as an inhabitant of his new town but stays registred in the chorio. as I copy and paste the site I see that the Barbatov-deal is a fact. Even Dutch soccersites talk about it (and the fact that Arnesen is overruled by Savvidis who completed the deal himself)
  13. Matchday 4 is postponed due to the general elections in Greece on the 20th of september. The game against AEK now will be played in the weekend of 26/27 september. This should be an advantage for us as we play Qabala on the 17th for EL in Azerbaidjan and have to travel a lot.
  14. SCHEDULE 05.09.2015 vs MKD 18:00 06.09.2015 vs CRO 21:00 08.09.2015 vs GEO 18:00 09.09.2015 vs SLO 15:00 10.09.2015 vs NED 21:00
  15. The Greek FA (EPO, what's in a name?) decided after two delays that Friday the draw will take place:
  16. - EDIT - Ftou. Two SL games. One lousy goal for statistics in stoppage time.
  17. Hey Americanaki bring us some good news, man ...........
  18. Just looked at the official UEFA-site: Points system 1. Each team gets two points for a win and one point for a draw (points are halved for matches in the qualifying and play-off rounds). 2. Clubs that reach the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals or final of the UEFA Champions League, or the quarter-finals, semi-finals or final of the UEFA Europa League, are awarded an extra point for each round. 3. In addition, four points are awarded for participation in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and four points for qualifying for the round of 16. http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/country/index.html
  19. There should be, Pash. I think kassies works with a excelformat. UEFA EL points system First qualifying round elimination - 0.25 points Second qualifying round elimination - 0.5 points Third qualifying round elimination - 1 point Play-off elimination 1.5 points Group Stage win - 2 points Group stage draw - 1 point For the country coefficient it is divided by the participans. In this case easy: by 5. So a draw is 0.2 points for Greece and the others that we must pass to become 12th. A win 0.4. Croatia gets 0.25 for a draw and 0.5 for a win. Holland gets 0.16 / 0.32 Thus we need 16 points more than the Swiss and Turks, and 6 points more than the Chechs. And than there are bonusses for reaching the knock-out stage. Have to look what those bonusses are.
  20. 8 Ukraine 37.883 3/ 5 9 Belgium 34.600 3/ 5 10 Netherlands 31.396 4/ 6 11 Turkey 29.800 3/ 5 12 Switzerland 29.775 2/ 5 13 Czech Republic 27.925 3/ 5 14 Greece 26.700 3/ 5 15 Romania 25.383 0/4 16 Croatia 23.375 1/ 4 17 Austria 23.100 1/ 5 18 Cyprus 21.675 1/ 4 Need to finish 12 or higher to have a direct participant in GS of CL (Champion) and GS of EL (cupwinner) in the 2017/2018 season. Place 13/14/15 gives access for Champion and runner-up in Q3, and CW also needs to start from Q3. For next season we still have the same spots in Europe as in this season. Therefore the Greek clubs need to win as much as possible and Switzerland, Turkey and Chech Rep. need to lose as much as possible. Don't think Croatia and lower countries are able to collect enough points to scare us. Romania is all out.
