We are going for the third time to London. After Arsenal and Tottenham, Chelsea will be honored by a visit of the “kalitero siropi”. Moscow btw is on two now (CSKA and Spartak). Don’t be surprised if we draw Lokomotiv for the last 32.

Chelsea is co-leading the Premier League with 9 points out of the first 3 games. Saturday they play Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Bate is leader of the Belarusian Premier League with 45 points after 18 games (12 games remaining), 7 points ahead of #2. Sunday they play away against (I am not joking) FC Slutsk. Vidi is the current #5 in the OTP Bank Liga with 8 points after 4 games. They have 2 games less than most clubs as the Hungarian FA postponed some games to increase their chances of success in Europe (with success). Next game Sunday against Ferencvaros away.

No. After GS there is a draw. #2 (+4 drop-outs GS CL with lowest points) meets #1 (+4 drop-outs GS with most points). You can not meet your fellow-GS-club or club from your country. #2 plays at home first. From the last-16 every pairing is possible. But overal satisfied with the draw.

We will see who we get. Rather not the ex-commies but if so then bring on Dynamo Kiev (crap against the Dutch contender that must not be named) as UEFA forced us to play Benfica instead of an open draw which could have been overturned if Kiev indeed had to play Spartak Moscow. As for possibly visiting the away games: Anderlecht, Eintracht Frankfurt and Dudelange. Saw a fun draw simulator in another forum. https://draw.inker.fun/#/el/gs/2018 I got PAOK with Arsenal, Bordeaux and Vorskla Poltava. I think I try again ....

The big big surprise happened. Apollon eliminated Basel on the awaygoal-rule. After the first game in Basel (the order of legs was reversed after the draw) Apollon was trailing 3-2. On Cyprus they won 1-0 thanks to a goal of Charalambos Kyriakou. Apollon in GS of EL. The draw is today 14:00 EEST. Apollon is in pot 4 so it will be difficult to avoid a heavy draw.
-
APOEL is out of Europe as they lost on penalties against Astana. 1-0 win on Cyprus. 1-0 los in Kazachstan (goal Pedro Henrique, a loanee from PAOK) to tie it 1-1. Penalties were lost with the bizar score of only 2-1..
-
Larnaca to the GS of EL after a 3-0 win and a 4-1 on aggregate. Bravo hope the have a nice drawn today at 14:00 EEST with two attracting opponents and one that they can beat as AEK is in pot 4.

CL–QR2-L1: PAOK - FC Basel (24-Jul-18, 20:30 EEST)

This is the (real) reason: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/08/29/referee-bobby-madley-forced-quit-mocking-disabled-man-snapchat/ -
I would loan our players to clubs like ours. No clubs that fight against relegation all year, like Fortuna. Fortuna is also a club that has been dissolved almost a few times last 20 years while being in the second tier, only to be rescued by miracles or a charity match organised by Mark van Bommel against his former club Bayern München. They were almost so dead that Michael van Praag (president of the Dutch FA) recalled them as dissolved professional team while they weren’t (but by an inch). Last year they suddenly revived under coach Sunday Oliseh (former 020-striker and Nigeria international) and a Turkish owner but they ended in court with a catfight when Oliseh suddenly was sacked. I would recommanded another more reliable club. In the Netherlands or somewhere else.

Exit for both Greek participants: Tsitsipas - Medvedev 4-6, 3-6, 6-4, 3-6 Sakkari - Kenin 6-4, 1-6, 4-6.
-
We will be in pot 2. Only to go to pot 1 with the top seeds if 7 teams out of 8 that have to play are eliminated. Don’t see that happen. Draw is Friday. 14:00 EEST.

Soprano, Greek Football has embarrassed itself. Especially EPO and SL with all the bad things they did in the past and especially last year. PAOK should be applauded as the club that gave Greece most points in Europe by winning and going to the knock-out games for quite a few years (without the bonuspoints that one certain club just got by entering the GS of CL as they were champions). PAOK should be applauded because they just did so well in Q2 and Q3. Yes. I’m proud to be PAOK. This defeat won’t change that. -

Of course. The players can not blame the ref. Only themselves. But we did well till now. But I am tired of watching on that damn Thursday. I wanted to watch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Even knowing we would be smashed by the likes of City, Barca and Bayern. Just for once. -
