  1. WIth many strongly opinionated people's ideas, and also my own, I would go with this outfit to represent the Pirates at the Euro Nation's Cup:

                                                             Karnezis

    Bakakis                       Manolas                           Sokratis (c)                  Stafy

                                                                Zeca

                                          Fortounis/Androutsos

           Pelkas (speed)                                    Mantalos                      Donis

                                                        Mitro

    Karelis  Manos  Gianniotas  Lazaros  Androutsos/Fortounis

Galanopoulos  Kourbelis  KPaps   Retsos  Lykogiannis  Kapino  Anestis

    coach: Alefantos..- maybe not.

I've always us to try a 3 at the back system. But it won't happen. If we put Androutsos and Kourbelis or Zeca behind our attacking midfielder it would benefit the midfield instead of having slower midfielders. Boxou could be right about Bouchalakis being slow like Tachtsidis but I don't think he would be that slow. He should have been tested it's friendly. I like the idea of a 3-4-3. I also think that I'd Mitroglou is not playing well for club then Manos if in form should be given a chance. It's also important that we play our most in form players this time around.

Bravo re captain Dean, Androutsos Kourbelis & Zeca as opposed to Taxi, Tziol & Samaris/Maniatis. Go with youth and they won't let anyone down. Zeca and Sokrati will point them in the right erection

We can forget about seeing new guys or even changing guys positions around, Skibbe will stick with what he knows and only play the guys he's comfortable. He sees us going to the playoffs a success not a failure like we all do so I'm so worried he will pick his trusted line up and try to advance that way.. So in short be prepared to see the likes of Tziolis, Tzavellas, Bakastas and so on....

J1 baby, Skibbe must Not be comfortable with a slow midfield. Tziol, Taxi and Samaris are not international class, neither has a big engine. Zeca needs two other guys to complement him urgently. Mitro could get faster service as well.

I couldn't agree more ausgreek. How you been? You've been missing for a while.

I'm good re maik, it has taken me this long to get over the fact Hellas missed the World Cup. Croatia are very good and still alive in the quarters.

I agree with you that Bouchalakis could be our answer at CM, I think Androutsos might have the motor too. Hope the Pirates start well in the up coming Nations Cup in September.

  5. Its time the Greeks rise out of the football doldrums, Skibbe must play Mantalos as our AM, he has a high tempo style with a resemblance of Modric. Fortounis does well at LW or further back in midfield.

I wonder if a match will be organised for August  as a lead in to this new Nations Cup in September?

Time to play Zeca and Terry Androutsos behind Matalos,  more energy so in with the new.

Tzioli can be head of booking motels and cabs.

I know Iran are Persians. It's says that Farsi and Arabic are two different languages. I always thought Persians spoke Arabic. But they don't.

Hala yulla bulla ulla dulla- it all sounds the same re maik!

  7. If a player officially qualifies for Greece, then, he is Greek. remember, Socceroos 36 in the World, Greece 44 or something. Lets address this issue positively, and like them, make the World Cup. Greece should of qualifed  for the Euroes.

Explore all the talent pool. I heard Messi wanted to play for Greece b4 he took option 2.

can we call this dude up or is it too late?  he's half greek. obvious by his name lol.

we really need wingers and he's a really good one. faster than any of our players.

The commentator rule will prevent this because if we play Lazaros on one side and Lazaro on the other, the comentators will get confused all the match. At least they are not twins.

We have several problems nowadays. Where are players like Avraam, Salpingidis, Karagounis, Gekas? The whole team or at least the majority consists of male models and poster boys. Where are the tenacious and dogged Greek fighters like those around Karagounis? Salpingidis, Patsatzoglou, Katsouranis, Spyropoulos tried always hard (regardless of their abilities) when they played together with Karagounis and under the direction of Otto and Santos. Samaris, Tachtsidis, Stafylidis, Donis, Fetfatzidis, Mantalos etc. are promising and good-looking and talented but where are the players who can lead us back to successes at the World Cup and the Euro? Torosidis, Manolas, Sokratis and Zeca cannot solve everything and we should have more attacking options than only Fortounis and Mitroglou. The other attacking midfielders, wingers and forwards are just there on the pitch, they are wholly average at international level, they dont score they cant do anything!

La you champion, Avraam is at Brisbane Roar and scoring goals re maik. He just got back from suspension, he spat at another player then fell over like he'd been hit.  He is in form and an excellent CB still.

  10. I don't think Karelis is a starter unless he replaces Mitro. There is more chance of Karagounis coming back. As a winger, Karelis would spear them left, right but not centre. like Korth Korean test missiles. Donis is the future on that LW side, unless he takes over as CF or as our AM.

Wonder why Mantalos is never in as a CM? That is hard to work out, rather than on the RW?

  11. How is Fetta's form though? If he is consistently playing well and starts regularly, that serves the Pirates better than say, Samaris playing once every three months for Benfica. Skibbe did say (even though I don't really believe him), players must play regularly to be picked in the NT.

    subs;

    kapino, anestis

    papadopoulos siovas oikonomou

    lykogiannis kourmpelis tachtsidis mpakakis/koutris

    mantalos/pelkas

    karelis lazaros/mpakasetas

Hey Boxo, you picked six CB's and Lyko is more a LB as is Koutris, it would be out of them for that side perhaps. Mpakakis would stand alone for RB back up then. Good squad though man.

You forgot Retsos as a sub.

I actually didn't Arg, I kept it at 23 players, CB, RB and LB as back ups. Out of ten people, seven would probably pick still KPaps over Retsos for now, that could change in the future. If I added Retsos, I would leave out KPaps, squad balance.

I struggled but still picked Toro.
