  1. We've received a ban for our next European match due to "racist" displays in gate 4, in the game vs Schalke. I believe it's just that gate that's closed off.

    edited for spelling

  2. Maduro's going to be a free agent this summer. You'll recall that after he moved to his new home, he noted that it was impossible to get noticed at a club in Greece, so he's glad to be home. He played a total of three times this season. I doubt many people noticed him.

  3. Good topic idea!

    Loaned abroad:

    • Sabo - sell him (he seems eager to go anyway). Seems like a less-good Shakhov.
    • Dimitriadis, Qose, Kousta - I really have no idea, but they're cheap to keep, very young, and are on longer-term contracts (I believe). Might end up good.
    • Antonis - says he wants to return, I say Ivic try him out next summer and see if he's improved. Seems to be getting game time, and God knows we need someone to cover for Canas, especially if Kace leaves. I wouldn't be surprised if that role gets filled by a new transcription, though.
    • Konstantinidis, Giannoulis - loan Giannoulis somewhere he'll actually see time. Konstantinidis might make an impact here next season though. Will be an interesting battle, between him and Kitisou.

    Loaned domestically:

    • Jairo - he might be ready to replace Campos, who I think might get the boot. Stylistically, he's not much different from him. Made of glass and a magnet for cards, though.
    • all the rest - loan them out again. Poor Pozoglou, thought he was better than this

I know it's easier said than done, but finding teams that actually need these players - in good leagues - will do wonders for helping them develop. We have way too much guys sitting on the bench at Panserraikos. What's the point of having all these players if we're not going to try to develop them?

From the 3, Manolas is the worst. He's too casual. He got outrun by Lafferty who is nowhere near as fast as him. Slacker.

Manolas will play his heart out, if he thinks a transfer is coming soon. Kpaps will at least try to dismember a few people, regardless of how important the game is. Fighter.

The only game Greece was scored on two times or more while he was playing (at least according to Transfermarkt) was our 3-0 loss vs Turkey. Of course, he's also missed out on entire seasons due to shoulder or MCL issues.

  5. I agree, more or less. It's good that we don't have a need for an attacking midfielder - I think next season there will be a lot of competition between Pelkas/Warda/Biseswar.

More important - who do we axe?

    • Biseswar, Campos - I'd be fine with both leaving. I don't see Campos as being much better than Jairo, who would be much cheaper anyway. Biseswar is also much too inconsistent, especially relative to a resurgent Pelkas and the gun that's known as Warda.
    • Klaus needs to go, he's too inconsistent. It pains me to say it, but we can do better. I'd say maybe bring someone up from the youth team (esp since Lamprou won't be back for another season), but if that happens then Koulouris needs to be loaned out (to a stronger league). We need someone with experience, if we get someone at all.
    • If Ivic isn't going to use him, then get rid of Kace as well and replace with someone who's at least Canas level. It's obvious how vital that position is now, we need to have someone good in there. Preferably Natcho ;)
    • Charisis needs to be loaned out. We don't need three central midfielders. I think he's too good to abandon, but he needs playing time.

I'd only really want a new winger if we get one in the style of Mak. As in, with ridiculous speed/acceleration. This, to me, would be a lower priority than other positions.

For right back, let's not forget we're getting Konstantinidis back too. Going to offer some competition there, and his speed will be useful. Will he be good enough, though? Unsure.

  6. Even ignoring transfers, the players we do have now should be much more effective after they've been together for a full year. In retrospect, this season ended up much closer than any of us would have thought - just as it was a few years back with Anastasiadis. Both have resulted in us blowing our chances.
