I think whatshisface said 7mm during the press conference last week. Or maybe it was a guess by a reporter asking a question. I don't think Matos is twice as good as Soares. But certainly is a better player. Soares started to look pretty damn good leading up to his injury, however.
-
He would have torn them up. I absolutely do not buy that an 8-day absence meant he "fell behind" in a system he'd been playing in for like a year at that point. I don't think they're lying about him having personal reasons for being in Brazil, but it's also clear that Ferreira was being stubborn about his involvement. Just imagine how much pressure he could have taken off of Giannoulis to produce in those games.

Soares is more than adequate. It's probably wash as far as wages are concerned (with Vieirinha coming in). I doubt we'll get any money for this but even a small amount will help chip away at our deficit.
-
Gonna miss Matos. Timing is perfect with Soares returning though.

Tell him I say hi please ?

Yes, you should be proud that they're punching so high above their weight. They're doing something right.

Leave it to us to make Omonoia look good. Murg scores his second goal for us, 1-1

That facebook group just started broadcasting, here's a list of other ones (no promises!) https://live.harleyquinnwidget.live/index.php?option=com_lsh&view=lsh&layout=webmaster&tmpl=component§ions=35&tabs_font_size=13px&font_type=Arial&font_size=13px&start_time_eventtitle_font_size=13px&livenow=0

He's overdue to score. Kind of surprised Murg got the start over Tzolis, but competition is good

I prefer to call it "hunting"

Well in that case, it could be me too!
-
Not a 1+1?
-
Pereira isn't on the EL list anyway though. Not saying it's not him, though!

Sounds like we have a case of the 'rona in the squad. Also, here's the squad list:

Maybe, but I doubt we'll see something like that. Having only one midfielder sounds rough. My money is on Ninua, but I wouldn't be surprised if Esiti plays (he looked very good vs AEK). Who knows, perhaps we'll play four at the back so that we can have both Swiderski and Colak up front? 4-4-2 diamond? Still risky, you'd think a DM would be there instead of Schwab. --Zivkovic-- --Matos--Varela--Ingason--Giannoulis-- --Schwab-- --Zivkovic-- --Tzolis-- --Murg-- --Colak--Swiderski--

If it helps any, many people don't like it here either. Except for those who are getting a new team, I suppose. Eventually, all teams will end up residing in LA, before breaking away again because they realize that nobody there actually likes sports.

Yianni isn't here and Boston Thanatos doesn't post much anymore so someone had to say it
-
They're going to quickly be reminded of how mediocre Augusto is. Wasn't impressive before he got hurt, and I doubt he's going to come roaring back. Ninua looks good for Georgia. I'm sure as time passes, they'll realize he's not good enough for PAOK. If we only blew 800k on him, it would still not crack our top-10 biggest flops. Hopefully both players can prove me wrong though.
-
We are short good midfielders, but have an overabundance of other ones. If the team ends up shipping off Augusto this winter, I wouldn't be surprised if we get another. I also don't think Tsiggaras will be here next summer, same with Ninua.

Two bits of trending news today that are pretty interesting. First off - a possible expansion of teams in the Champions League from 32 to 36. Teams in marginal leagues (hopefully Greece in a few years) may have a slightly easier time qualifying, assuming Benfica/Ajax will now always get in automatically ? https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2020/10/20/champions-league-expansion-planned-full-details/ The other news is in regards to a new European Premier League, which has been rumored for a long time now. These games appear to be meant to be played during "the regular season," but it's not immediately clear if this means during the domestic league dates (weekends / "Englische Woche") or if it would be more like current CL/EL competitions. Current rumor is that relegation for the founders will be removed for a VERY long time, because Europeans have finally realized how much more money the NFL makes. It seems to me that this would bump the CL down a peg, with a corresponding effect on the EL and EL2. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12109174/european-premier-league-liverpool-and-manchester-united-in-talks-for-fifa-backed-tournament

No fans for this game, which was obvious to anyone who could count.
-
This might be the one time we don't pay for a rehab of a player. If he's as keen on rejoining us as it sounded, then we can swoop back in next summer.
-
So....throwing more offensive players helped us offensively? Like no duh? Very easy to look back at the course of the game and realize that it ended up with this kind of stagnation. In the middle of it, it definitely didn't feel like we didn't need the defensive help...

Murg channels Pelkas (who scored in the same way on his debut today) and ties the game
