  1. who's Didak?

In regards to the LB position we are now looking at D?dac Vil?, a Spanish left back who was just released by A.C. Milan after his contract ran out having spent the last 3 seasons on loan at Espanyol, Betis, and Eibar.

Has featured previously for all Spanish national teams, except senior, from ages 19 to 23. He is 26 years old.

Seems decent enough, could be a step up from what he have now. Talks seem to be going well, we find out more tomorrow.

  2. I'd say he is hoping the transfer goes through so that he is not the shortest player in the squad anymore

    Platellas - 5'5

    Buonanotte - 5'2

Now that I think about it we have a relatively short side, average being about 5'10 I would say.

Cordero, Barbosa, Simoes, Vargas, Anakoglou, Galo, grontis, Mantalos Bakakis, Aravidis are all 5'10 or shorter.

    Not that it matters haha

  3. Czechs were handed easy draws in the Europa League.

    Viktoria Plzen vs Vojvodina

    Slovan Liberec vs Hajduk Split

    Thun vs Sparta Prague

only difficult one for them is Jablonec vs Ajax and even that might not be as Ajax were poor vs Rapid Wien in the CL 3QR

I expect atleast Sparta and Viktoria Plzen to advance.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Turkey wise im confused they have only Fenerbahce and Galatasaray left in Europe if im not mistaken? and not 3 teams?

    -----------------------------------------------------

Romanias 2 teams I cant see both progressing, I think Rosemborg will be to strong for Steaua Bucharest, Astra Giurgiu is a tough one as they did hold West Ham, who knows.

  4. Buonanotte would be Platellas except with good accuracy and the ability to pass the ball.

Didac is in Greece apparently, the team could be shaping up nicely.

    ..............................Baroja

    Galo/Bak........Arzo.........Tzan/Kolo....Didac

    ..............Johansson........Simoes

    Vargas................Mantalos...........Buonanotte

    .............Aravidis/Djebbour/Chrisantus

  5. He was announced on the Lierse site beforeclauses on the contract were agreed, where they wanted 500k if AEK qualified for the CL and also that Lierse held the deciding vote if he was to be sold to another side. We immediately rejected.

Bounanotte  hotting up with rumours coming in that we have made an offer.

  7. Barbosa will very much be in the starting 11 for the time being and depending on his form whilst Mantalos is out. Once he returns, once again depending on his form, Vargas may fill his position, depending on his form also.

But as things stand he will be starting on the left wing.

  8. Tomorrow we need big games from PAOK and Atromitos.

I'm fairly certain of their progress, PAOK should at least score 1 which will make Spartak to need to score 3.

Atromitos lead 3-1 so even if AIK somehow put 2 past them without reply, Atromitos still go through on the away goals rule.

    However stranger things have happened.

  9. I was toying with putting Platella at RW and Arava at CF but cant see Djebbour not starting. Also Platella's pace would be a great asset to have coming off the bench in the 2nd half fresh on the wing.

Either way these are good "problems" to have.

Forgot about Soiledis ability to play at LW, I just feel his crosses are abysmal personally.

  10. In the game vs Platanias, provided no more signings are made, I expect to see

    ........................Baroja

    Galo.........Arzo..........Kolovetsios...........LB/Soiledis

    ........Johansson......Simoes

    Aravidis...........Vargas.............Barbosa

    ......................Djebbour

Depth wise we are sorted in all positions bar the wing positions, provided we sign a LB.

    GK: Anestis, Vouras

    RB: Bakakis, Vasilantonopoulos

    CB: Tzanetopoulos, Lambropoulos, Svarnas

    LB: Soiledis, Petravrakis

    CM:Anakoglou, Cordero, Faye

    AM: Mantalos, Grontis, Zoric

    R/LW: Platellas

    FW: Chrisantus

  11. To be honest nobody knows what Mel is thinking. The stick he is getting by certain fans on different sites and facebook however is disgusting like someone stated previously considering where AEK would be had it not been for the man.

He is hardly going to throw millions of euros out of his pocket on players just to please fans, thats erratic spending, like Amorgos also stated he didn't get to where he is today on erratic spending. Slowly but surely the team is getting tweaked left right and centre on positions that are needed. We needed a RB, we got a RB, we needed a GK we got a GK, we also got a CB and two MF's along with Djebbour. Sure we could do with another winger but the way some fans are dissing him is atrocious and have the same mind frame that lead AEK to the 3rd division in the first place.

Its only August 6, a long time before the transfer window closes. Lets take it one day at a time.

I'm hoping for a winger on either side, and a left back. We wont be getting another striker. We have Djebbour, Aravidis and Chrisantus. Is Brecevic still on the books? Either way its not the worst strike-force. Aravidis deserves his shot in the SL with AEK, Chrisantus deserves a full pre-season under his belt before we can judge him and so far so good for him. Djebbour is a worry but who knows how his crazy mind works, maybe he's saving what he's got in the tank for the league games, I will admit his tembelli mind frame worries me but I cant judge until I've seen him play properly.

  12. I think a lot of people will be surprised. I seen PAO play yesterday vs Club Brugge and if they are going to be one of our main rivals then it wont br as hard as people think.

Sure its early days but we cant let these pre-season games fools us. Our aim is and always will be to win the league regardless if we are just promoted.

Olympiakos have the best team, thats a given, but other than them I cant see any other team having that much of a better team then ours. PAO? PAOK? Iraklis? Asteras? Atromitos?

Nah I dont buy it, we can easily match each one of these teams player for player or even exceed them.

    PMNE GIA PROTATHLIMA!!
