NO to Fuster for a number of reasons :
1. If I plan on being competitive in the league I'm not going to sign an ex-gauro who went to Olympiako in his prime only to be offloaded to me during the bottom end of his career.
2. He is 33 years old and is coming off of an injury plagued season. If I were to pay 600k for "experience" a 30-32 year old would do fine. 33-34 is pushing it. Unless we're talking Rivaldo, which is not the case here.
3. We don't even really know how many goals he really has scored or how many games he really has played well in. How do we know that out of the 80 games he has performed well in, that 50 of them weren't fixed? How do we know that those weren't games like thee Veroia game for instance? Signing Olympiako players is a liability because you don't know how they'll react to 40-60 reffing against on a regular basis as opposed to 80-20 for. For all we know he could of been on Paragka auto-pilot for the past 5 years and then you'd have a 33 year old coming to AEK to play his first real season in 5 years.

Play offs are pretty much mathematically over.......We would pretty much need to lose all our remaining games and Apollon would have to win all their remaining games just to tie us.

Guys as a third person looking in, there is absolutely no comparison between Diamantidi and Spanouli. Spanoulis is a great player but Diamantidi is on a level all on his own and probably one of if not the most influential Greek player since Gali. The guy has it all: vision, passing, shooting, blocking, speed, dribble, long range, short range. He can play 3 positions with ease (pg,sg,sf) and even 4 if he needs to. Aside from being an all around better player than Spanouli, he is also a better team player than Spanouli and in my opinion superior in every aspect of the game. He's shined on a better team as well and has outshined Spanouli in the games between them. Not to mention that visually from his shot to his movements Diamantidi plays the game much more brilliantly. No comparison.

Lets put all this to rest
In-ferno has been doing this same song and dance for ages now. Every time they've gotten into disputes he talks about cops and lawyers. Online forums are his LIFE. All you have to do is look up his comments in the Xtratime forums from over a decade ago and realize the guy hasn't grown up and craves this stuff. I really can't imagine how lousy someone's life has to be in order for them to crave internet forum feuds the way these people do. Pretty pathetic if you ask me and If there's one thing I would love to see in my lifetime, its someone approaching the authorities and asking them to intervene in an internet argument :lol: "butttt buttttt officer he said olympiako isn't a good teammm" ahahaha....What a bunch of uptight sourpusses. Sounds like some of the stories my cop friend in petroupoli has told me. He posts about it every day, SEVEN YEARS LATER. In-ferno was banned some time around 2007, EIGHT YEARS AGO. Where were the Olympiako authorities all those other years you were on the outside looking in?? We have let this cancer spread far enough and it is time to finally take action. We're more than happy where we are now and its time to respect our new home and time to finally put this garbage to rest. actually those stats indicate AEK must have played well and had a good run with officiating...you can't have a very good For and Against record ..unless a lot of things go right...
Go watch the Panionio game in OAKA and then come back and tell me we had a good run with officiating. That year was just as choppy as the rest in terms of officiating, our team was just way ahead of anything else in the league that year, and probably would have done much better if not for officiating, and coach issues mid season. I'm not even going to go into the usual push Olympiako got that year that allowed them to even stay afloat in the title race that year.

Bananas, there is very little difference between most politicians in Greece. Why do you think they are consistently switching between ND and PASOK for the last 20 years depending on who is more likely to win?
Tsipras took 10 years to complete his degree, his lecturer said he never saw him and that he was more interested in demonstrations and student union sit-ins than attending class. Both he and Varoufakis are from middle upper class families who bankroll them. These are not self made men. These are career socialists like most politicians in Greece.
I have a friend who went to Metsovio too and he told me he looked at Tsipra's last thesis and it looked like a 5 year old did it. 5 pages of loosely worded dribble and 20 pages of print outs. He tells me that many students at the polytechnio would just walk in the last day of testing with a higher up who would talk to the professor and pretty much wink at him saying "dikoi mas einai". The educational system in Greece is a ###### nightmare for anyone who actually want to get an education, and really work at what they want to do.

What do you guys think about him? I personally think he's not that bad, when he starts, but at the same time had he been better overall he would have started more often as well. I think the reason everyone is so unhappy with him is the fact that hes the best paid player on the team and in B division he hasn't taken the opportunity to show us something conclusive. Johanson came a little earlier than him and almost instantly showed his quality. The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that he doesn't look fit at all. In over one month with us, he hasn't shown the least bit of progress in his fitness levels, and still looks really top heavy. I feel like this picture says a A LOT:

I hate to say this but Anakoglou has been doing terrible these past few games too. He needs to get his head in the game because things are getting crowded in the midfield next season and he could easily lose his spot. Love him but tough love is needed.
Also hate to be the bearer of bad news but Chrisantus is frustrating to watch and I have to say, seeing him yesterday he still looks overweight. There's no ###### way you should be on a team for over a month, as the highest paid player , where your job is to literally train and be match fit, and you can't lose a ###### gut.

Yes, a lot of islands had been sold off between Papandreous, Papademo, and Samaras' times in office.....There are a few websites online with islands and their pricing, this is one is one of many I have run across. During GPapandreous time there was a HUGE privatization program that switched many islands, companies and programs from public property to private property up for sale.

I hope this guy can help us. It has been WAYYYYYYY too long since we've had a decent goalie. Anesti shivers , makes his teammates shiver, and makes us shiver, whenever he is close to the ball. Kostantopoulo was the worst goalie in AEK history costing us at least 3-4 games our last season in the Superleague. Saja was a piece of s%$#!, who was betting on our games and fixing them. Arabatzi had heart, great guy, but ultimately made silly mistakes as well. Macho was actually the last decent goalie we ever had. Moretto shares first place for worst goalie in our history along with Dimi. Lukac and Moschano we never even saw. Sorentino was pretty much the last great goalie we've had. One decent goalie and one great goalie in a span of over 10 years -_- I'm not even going to go into the bi-polar nature of Xioti who one week was world class goalie and the next was terrible. We REALLY need to find a good goalie again if we plan on contending for the title.

Reaper, even though I agree with you, I still feel like you are falling into an all too common trap that Greek political discussions succumb to. Greeks have created political divisions among themselves through their allegiances to the WORDS Left and Right rather than the values that accompany each word. This is the dangerous path towards indoctrination, that plagues Greek politics and has done so for years. Rather than acknowledge the shortcomings of individual policies , we tend to group them all together under one word or ideology.
What I am saying is that the problem in Greece is not necessarily the lack of a right wing party. One can easily make a case for PASOK being more right wing than left wing if we point out their privatization programs, laisez-faire tax free haven for the ultra-rich, laizes-faire businessmen havens where the state aided in hiding dirty money abroad, lack of regulation in anything business related etc. One can even make a case for fascist like police behavior. Ironically even fascism is considered ambiguous and not the quintessential ultra right wing mascot it once was (many consider it a leftist ideology). Even Anarchism has been called a right wing ideology by some. Most of us might think of the collectivist "W'ere all equal and free" anarchist approach as Left wing but some make points about it being right wing because of the lack of governance.
Of course off of paper and into the real world Anarchists are extreme leftists, but what I'm trying to say is that on a broader scale, political boundaries have been skewed greatly. That is why it is so hard and ultimately pointless to try to decipher whether a country is made up of predominantly left wing or right wing ideologies. Do I have a problem with a lot of leftist principles? Sure I do. Do i think left wing principles have hurt Greece? Of course I do. But at the same time many right wing principles have harmed the country as well and if we fall into the polarization trap, we'll only end up talking in circles rather than discussing individual issues and solutions.
I think it would help Greeks greatly if parties were voted on based on individual policies rather than what political extreme they belong to. Ultimately Greece's biggest problem is not the left or the right but rather corruption, and corruption has no allegiances or directions. Hopefully one day a party can get voted into Greek parliament because their immigration reform works, or because their economic policy both helps protect the workers while at the same time inviting investment. Hopefully one day Greeks focus on policy and individual reforms rather than which party is "leftist" or "rightist" or which party is "anti-mnimonio" or "pro-mnimonio....etc.
