  1. after a great first half of the season, both gekas and eintracht's performances have been quite awful since the winter period...they are in a relegation battle that will go down the this next /last matchday..last week fans showed their dismay at the clubs loss, getting them in a very risky situation being in second to last place..

  2. hes a beast, he has all the attributed to be a huge player...he played very well last night, cut alot of inter attacks and made a few nice driving runs forward i especially like when he took on ranocchia and thiago and a gained a foul...he did well to keep his cool after he got the yellow and maicon got into his face and started cursing him. he stepped back, put his hands in the air and walked away despite serious provocation...that shows some great mental strength which is fantastic considering he is only 19. but as euro said, he needs to work on his distribution, which will come naturally if he continues in a starting role. if he continues playing, he will only progress forward...he is strong and tall, good technique, good tackling and instinctual positional awareness. he is also a danger off set pieces...he won a nice header in the box and i also believe it was his header that set up howedess' goal that got ruled out for offside...

think of where he would be if he were still at oly...on the bench! that should be a wake up call to our other promising youngsters ( ie fetz, mitro) who are riding the bench or getting little time at their clubs...since valverde is staying, i think mitroglou should move on. i hope he looks at pap as an example of what he could do in germany..

  3. played a full 90 in schalkes 5-2 away win vs inter...although goal.com gave him a 5.5 (which is a bogus rating) he did very well in my opinion. sat deep, won loose balls, distributed well...he played very simple, did not try to complicate play and was very direct..he played that holding role very well without making many mistakes...

he should be playing for our national team...by next year i want to see him gradually incorporated in our team..he is young and will be a great addition to this transitional team...if he works on his distribution, he can be top class.

  4. poy eisai re drakooooo?

we are in the final four after todays win over barca. i was able to watch the whole series. i wish we had a more active basket forum bc i love watching us play...

we went down one game in spain then managed to take the second there and close it off with two great wins at oaka...this team shows they want it and have a real winning mentality...if we play like we did these last three games we will being seeing another star on the shirt. we have siena next round who eliminated olympiakos and then the winner of maccabi v. madrid/valencia. hopefully nicholas gets better soon, maric comes back slowly and everyone stays fit.

diamantidis is a star. when hes hot he cannot be stopped. kalathis is becoming a nice player as well, he played a solid series, as did sato.

check out the sweet little move at 3:05

  5. he will have a tough time and will probably be loaned out once or twice...hopefully he will develop well and excel instead of wither away like alot of young players in england...

i agree, he could have gone to a nice club in the bundesliga and would probably see more first team action.

either way, it will probably be better for him then staying in greece..

  6. oly seems close to agreeing with panionios over the transfer of maniatis and komourdzi for mitroglou probably on loan wth another player or money...

evala...alot of the players transfered did not start at panionios' academy...they just seem to have decent eye for talent...manztios started at kallithea, tziolis at apollon, tzavellas at kerkyra i believe..spyropoulos at pas...

i believe only maniatis and makos were raised through their academy...either way, they have sold off all this greek talent...

  7. panionios have had so many players taken from them by aek, oly and pao, that they wont come cheap anymore...he made that evident with his demands in greece for koumourzi and tzavellas this summer...i remember last winter maniatis was very close to signing for espanyol for a very small fee...

i guess they are sick of being bullied around but know the teams will pay...

  8. Final Score 2 - 3.

Fantastic result from one of my 2nd favourite clubs.

(Yes I am allowed to support them and PAOK and Asteras Tripoli as well if I want. It's not like cats and dogs making out!)

Now they need to do better than Atletico in the last match.

Aris is at home against Rosenborg while Atletico travel to Germany. Let's hope for a win to also maintain the 40 year plus unbeaten Euro run.

its ok akriti..if i werent a PAO fan i would root for aris...i celebrated lazaridis' goal ALMOST as much as i did sarriegi's against inter..almost though :D

but to be honest, i will cheer for any greek team in europe...although the majority of their players are foreign, aris represent greece well...every club that visits the kleanthis vikelidis leaves in awe and respect...hopefully they continue to prove a tough side for any club..

even though pao are exiting europe, im glad aek paok and aris are giving us a chance to collect points and represent greece..im not sure of the exact points but we are getting close to catching turkey (who only have besiktas left in euro competition)..the next step after that is the netherlands which would give us a extra team in the europa league competition

    :gr:
