mrpopodopolous
So, when will Hakan Sukur retire then? Will he be gone, still around from the start of the qualifiers, or dare I say it, in the squad for 2008 itself? :gr:
H_Sukur
Hakan Sukur has expressed that he believes his body still has 2 years remaining in him, but the media suggests he would retire by the end of the season. You never know e.g Romario who is 40 years old is still playing soccer....
evalagoal
As long as any player feels that his body can continue... I say let him make the decision on his own and who cares. There are PLENTY of players that within their 30's and even in their 40 playing.. If the team and the coach feel like that player can contribute to the club then he can be an age-less wonder... H_Sukur
Actually, in the Switzlerland game it was his header that was gonna be a goal...untill tuncay smased it in on the line just to make sure. That goal was mad by Hakan, and it is a great example of what he is capable of achieving up forward.
