Rodavgi
The only way Greek soccer can improve is if Greece starts producing a lot more young talent, with great potential.
trifilli
I agree with both comments. I am the one who for years has been down on the "protathlima"... As a matter of fact I still am. I do not follow it with the same interest as the European games. Some will not like, or will doubt what I am going to say, but it is the honest truth. I follow with MORE passion and interest, ANY Greek team when they play abroad. Than my own in the league. PAO beating anyone in Greece, could never compare to a European win for our Greek teams. :gr: The protahlima for me is only a way to get to Europe. Having said that, I believe that although the level of play and talent are average, there have been improvements from the past. More improvements are needed: Better refs to gain the confidence of the fans. Serious managements with less rhetoric and more action. Upgraded facilities, stadia, training grounds. ALL the above will help our NT by bringing up young talent. Xanthi is the best news in the Greek league right now. If we can have a few more teams emulate them, our little league could become very competitive and interesting. In my opinion the expectations of the foreigners were low. The reality is, that some thought they would make it here with minimum effort. Not so... :nono: PEACE
