On December 4, 2004, TAG Heuer will become the Official Timekeeper of the 17th-annual "The Race of Champions- Nations Cup", to be held for the first time ever in the 70,000-person capacity Stade de France in Paris.

At the avant-garde of Swiss watchmaking since its creation in 1860, TAG Heuer is now actively involved in three major motor-racing events: the F1 World Championship with Team West McLaren Mercedes, the Indy Racing League (IRL) with its legendary Indianapolis 500 race, and The Race of Champions- Nations Cup 2004.

The Race of Champions- Nations CUP 2004 brings together 16 drivers--from Formula One, the World Rally Championship and NASCAR and the European touring cars championships--that compete head-to-head as individuals (The Race of Champions) and as members of two-driver teams representing their country (The Nations Cup).

The last competition of the racing season, The Race of Champions Nations Cup is the only race in which drivers from different countries and motorsport disciplines can compete head-to-head in equal machinery (ROC Cars, Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge, Citroën Xsara WRC, and Peugeot 307 WRC) and on two equal tracks (1 km-long asphalt tracks that crossover in the center of the stadium).

Former World Rally champion Colin McRae would 'love' to beat F1 master Michael Schumacher at next weekend's novel 'Race of Champions' event (Paris). The Scot told UK's 'Sunday Mirror' newspaper that he, like a lot of rally stars, has wanted to show the Ferrari driver - and other track racers - a thing or two 'for a long time.

"Whatever happens," said McRae, who will be countryman David Coulthard's team-mate, "it will be very competitive."
