Omonoia9
As the winners of the Cyprus Cup, Omonoia are entitled to European football this summer(and hopefully more), and it starts Thursday at the GSP as Dutch side ADO Den Haag come to town, in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League. This begins the 2011-2012 season for Cyprus's most popular team. How will trifyllara respond to this early challenge? PAME OMONOIA!

Omonoia9
A dream start for Omonoia in their home-and-home aggregate against ADO Den Haag, as the Dutch visitors had a rough visit to the Cypriot capital. It was just a matter of time before Gino Coutinho would give up a goal, and finally from the spot, it's Brazilian newcomer Alexandre, giving Omonoia the lead. Hernan Rengifo would add on to it, and then Dimitris Christofi's beautiful goal sealed the deal. More importantly, Antonis Giorgallidis pitched a clean sheet at the other end, which should ease the return leg in the Netherlands. That will be next week. For now, it is Omonoia firmly in the driver's seat after a 3-0 win at a rocking Gasipi. Until then, it's Omonoia9, so long from Lefkosia!
