HellasHab
It looks like RIK Sat may be launching in North America soon. Greek Media Group has put up a page for the channel on their website which indicates they have a deal in place to distribute the channel in North America. No providers are mentioned so it appears they have not reached a carriage deal with any company yet. Interesting to see if anyone will pick this channel up, Dish Network is the only one I am thinking that may add it?! RIK Sat
Grk101
This is a really interesting development. Just when I thought that Mega Cosmos and Alter Globe would eventually move to Dish Network, this addition could change that. Could it be that they have "talked" DirecTV into giving the Greek channels another chance by offering RIK? Its a long shot. At this point though, I would hope that they would all just go over to Dish Network. It could honestly go either way though. What is RIK's programing like? 'More or less' like ERT's? If so this definitely appeals to the older viewers. (and Cypriots obviously) I see this programing guide on UBI's website http://www.ubiworldtv.com/files/tv-guides/...-101-RikSat.pdf Can't say that it would really appeal to me personally. Will be interesting to see what happens. If they launch on Dish Network (which seems like the best fit honestly), then it is a tell-tale sign of what is to come regarding the rest of the channels. gyros
How many Cypriots are even in the USA? I can't imagine they'll have more than 10k subscribers.

Grk101
It seems to be from greeknewsonline.com I also see this banner on their site: The interesting thing is that when I google this 1-800 number, Globecast comes up. GMG has a 1-212 number on their site, but they may have inherited the toll free 1-800 number.
