The2ndMouse Posted January 15, 2004 Share Posted January 15, 2004 Abi will call me crazy (probably) but I think that Kokkalis all these years has shown us he is happy with the domestic title and wanted to do all the steps in line rather than jump ahead fast. He created academies, built Renti, building Karaiskaki, started the members project (but I think he will rob them all in bright daylight once more when he enters stock exchange and THEN people will really have the strenght their money can buy them)... and after all that HE will decide when the right time for Europe has come... Example: When Bajevic got KO'd from Europe Early only a year after the good Run stoped by Juventus, some Gavroi even called for Kokkalis Himself to resign! Kokkalis must have thought, "Is this what I need" I will concentrate on Local titles and keep everyone happy until I AM ready to go ahead. My crazy scenario of course but not impossible. And anyway the Bigon->Matzourakis->Lemonis->The short time that old Fellow was there->Katanec and the way he left-. and Protasov in a row do not cry out anything different! But Kokkalis must also have tried to see if any of these wild cards would work anyway and save him the huge salary... ;) At least you have the infrastructure and at the moment Kokkalis Brings the big coach Olympiakos could START building a reliable squad...
