Please stop with that stuff man.
England looking good vs Sweden, Sweden need to play much better in 2nd half
-
That's the thing though with Skibbe, he has made the same mistakes over and over, it's mind blowing, watching the WC alone has shown us that you can't use a slow team now days yet we have had Skibbe use Tziolis and Tachtisidis in our last two games... Tachtsi was tragic in both games and Tziolis is Tziolis, yet if your were a betting man, you would put a fair sum on Skibbe starting at least one of these guys in our next game.
League of nationals will be a true judgement day for Skibbe, if he makes the same old mistakes we have well and truly wasted over 12 months with this kreas of a coach.
All your suggestions above are better solutions to what Skibbe does

Bouchalakis?? He has not played a starting 11 season yet and you guys think he is the answer for the national team?
-
Wow big move

England finally win a shoot out but should have won in the 90

Great read. You’re not wrong bout ego lol but good to read a very honest interview. Very sad bout the AEK stuff... clearly something things are not managed well there.
Great points bout Greek journo’s

Also against Australia (part of asia in football) 1-0 loss in 06, 1-0 loss in 2017 and 2-1 win by the skin on our nails
-
Pretty much official as far as I am concerned
-
You really think Tziolis & Tachtsidis world have done well anchoring our play in this WC?? Central players with no speed out wide?
Come on 04, I’d love to agree but reality check. Under Skibbe’s set up, our team wouldn’t have done well unless he put the right guys on. He couldn’t do that in key games.
I heard Germans missed many chances but what a stroke of WC magic from Korea.
I had a feeling Sweden would make it a tough night for Mexico but not by 3!
Serbia tries but can’t beat Brazil, Brazil-Mexico will be a very interesting game.

Correct Jimmy, we do seem to struggle with the Asian teams but do well vs African.

I'm not sure where I stand on VAR....on the one hand I'd like to have fairly played matches and correct decisions by the refs....on the other you have all these players flopping around and making the signal for VAR appeals that kinda disgusts me....much like the begging for cards to be shown to opponents. Also there have been 16 penalties awarded already this WC compared to 13 in total in 2014. If FIFA allows the managers to challenge decisions made by the ref where does it end?
Agreed.
It’s ok at times but when the players start acting and signaling for stuff it’s just s%$#! to watch

Poland bow out of the tournament with a dismal performance. What a joke that they are ranked 8th in the world due to them avoiding in playing friendly matches in the last few years.
That’s not true 04, they played more than us which doesn’t say much but Poland had played and won many games
-
Basically if we finish first in this group and don’t finish first or second during Euro Qualifying campaign we will have an automatic playoff spot for Euro 2020
-
Not a fan of VAR, I’ve seen it not in a few codes of team sports and it’s a real killer to a game.
As someone mentioned the refs call adds to the excitement, it always did, we would cheer & moan it but it was the game, now you have debates on VAR, it’s inconsistencies, the calls themselves, stoppage of play, players spiking to refs to check... just don’t like it but it’s here to stay so this is sport in the +’10’s

That’s a real surprise about Chicago!
USA 94 was incredible, I fell in love with that tournament, I hope I can attend this WC

That idiot Vasiliadis is now changing his tune and is now proposing a 16-team league for next season but it will include play-offs and play-outs.
He is dangling a supposed 70 mil carrot in front of everyone that he says he has secured from TV revenue.
Superleague that should really be the one that should be making any decisions on the future of the league has been quiet so far, but apparently they are meeting next Monday to elect a new league president.
Far out... I guess people don’t ask questions in Greece hey... it’s just so fickle
In regards to SL, will that be another club president?
-
Seriously the first WC I am not really fussed about any team as I usually follow Italy when Greece is not there... Used to follow Argentina but I'm not a Messi Bandwagoner
-
georgelaz, did you see Tachtsi's performances against Egypt and Saudi Arabia? His passing was horrible, give aways every time! Tziolis looked like Tsartas against Egypt because Tachtisdis was that bad... to put it in perspective.
I don't think he was anything special for OSFP, certainly not NT starter material IMO. The Hungary game was back in 2015...
-
Watching Hungary now... this is no walk in the park fellas... if Tziolis & Tachtsidis are walking our midfield... we will struggle
-
Correct, we need a new coach ASAP, sadly that will only come with the failure to get first place in the below group
Group C2: Hungary, Greece, Finland, Estonia

And there is money involved with Costa Rica? Or Bolivia? Or Armenia? Big picture guys, not cliche
-
We’re coached by a muppet and the head of the Greek federation is a thitso that belongs in the horio... go figure

Incredible, Asteras nearly made the seeded teams

Why, when everyone is playing friendlies right now did we only schedule the one game in Turkey on top of that??
This is why Grammenos as president of EPO is just useless dunno how he’s still in that role. We have to be one of the few countries (ironically with Cyprus) who don’t have any other friendlies for the rest of the year...
Suggested Call Ups, Starting 11
in Greek National Teams

Some nice line ups guys.
The situation is so clear and we all want to see the issues, which are obvious fixed which is what makes this so frustrating with Skibbe.
As another poster mentioned, there are some guys with great promise that have been mentioned but they need to play consistently at club level too.
Galanopoulos, Kourbelis & Vasilakakis are players that should have had a decent shot next to Zeca by now
