Greece were within minutes of winning in Belgium a place where no team has won in a competitive fixture since Germany did so in 2011. Bosnia have good attacking play but there defence was exposed in Belgium and this is were we can take advantage. Should be a riveting encounter best of match day 6.

Completely agree. Bosnia play open, attacking football, which is why we struggle against Belgium. Nothing will change there, for the foreseeable future.

    odds have just changed again

    Bosnia 1.66

    draw 3:40

    Greece 6.00

This doesn't mean anything except that people are putting money on Bosnia to win.

My point was I don't think Bosnia will get a result this time around seeing a 4-0 result a few months ago, but point taken I will retract my ''never''.

Probably not, though I think it's redundant to argue who's better based on results versus other teams, as there is no better indicator than a direct match up, so we will be able to see this Friday who is a better team.

It only sometimes seems that Bosnia is better because of their aggressive style of play. Greece has more depth and more top class players. Bosnia would never do to Belgium what Greece did. That isn't just a compact game, that is tactics some highly skilled players executing.

Yes Bosnia was the more positive team in Athens, but we were missing Manolas and the only goal was from a Pjanic set piece, not even in open play.

Well that Banner a serb held in Greece was inhuman. I expect countermeasures from your ultras.

I doubt it, they're aware of the consequences it can have for the team. The Romanians put up a similar banner when we faced them but we didn't do anything in response. I think of west Balkan FA's our one is the one with the least fines / punishments for fan related incidents.

Last time we played on their field we conceded 3 times from set pieces (one of them a non-existing penalty). If I remember correctly their stadium is small. So I guess it's gonna be hard evne for FIFA to organise it with safety.

Damn 16,500 no wonder it got sold out in a few hours.

Dont think the Bosnian fans can keep their temper in that box.

There is not a single referee on earth who wouldn't call that as a penalty.

Apples and oranges. You say he's one of the best and I say he hasn't proved it in international level. And surely one can't compare the teammates he had/has with the ones that Aubameyang is supposed to play with. Really now. I'm talking about the fact that he has underperformed in international level and you come up suggesting me to rewatch the first half of the final game? If this is not flawed logic then what? I didn't doubt his skills or his quality for the love of god.

Regarding the other comment, I don't think the fact Messi (and other Barca players) wasn't selected in UCL 2016-2017 means he's not one of the best ATM

Football teams do not consist of one player, do you expect Pjanic to win 10 games by himself? Defending, goalkeeping, scoring, assisting?

I don't think Bosnia is much better than Gabon actually. Mario Lemina (Juve) also plays for them. However, a player is not defined by his international team. Aleksandr Hleb is not a bad player because Belarus didn't qualify for tournaments. Aubameyang is not bad because Gabon didn't qualify to the 2014 World Cup.

Expected Imo and I'm sure Skibbe never thought he would miss the game. Anyway little importance it has right now as his status was questionable only the past 2 days.

By the way if he's one of the best midfielders in earth you think he would have achieved something more than just a single qualification to the world cup with his national team.

Right, and Aubameyang has never done anything with Gabon. Must mean he's s%$#!. What flawed logic, I suggest you rewatch the first half of Juventus vs Real Madrid.

Skillwise yes, but Tziolis is 1,92.  If you play 4-4-2 with 2 wingers and 2 strikers we might even dominate the midfield just by that. We used Tachtsidis vs Belgium only to disable the high game of Fellaini.

Damn, just imagine Tziolis - Medudjanin both starting. Slowest progression in football since the sport itself began.

Fortounis is nothing on retreiving the ball and pressuring. He is creative and that's just it. So I doubt he ll be any much of help in the midfield, just an extra option for a pass.

But I guess the "wingers" we use arent exactly the "i w8 the ball on the flank area to hit them from there". the one is an attacking midfielder and the other one a Left Back, they usually close in, we know our midfield sux so we put lot of men in there.

, that is true, Medunjanin is one of the slowest players ever. I hope he doesn't start. He can shoot, pass, but that's it. Really lethargic player.

    @E-M-I-R said pjanic will play

@kosaca said pjanic is 90% out.
    which one is true guys?

Also yeah, Greek midfield is bad but so is the Bosnian one with Pjanic out. And Pjanic aint much of a DM , plays as offensive midfielder for the NT, I remember bosnians asking for hime to be moved further behind to have a better impact.

I honestly beleive we will win the midfield with the new players, not sure about the game. I think if pjanic is missing or if he can barely play with an injection, we ll be fine.

We will definitely know tonight if he is out, but he said he still feels pain which means the chances are low.

Cimirot & Jajalo is a midfield on the same level of Maniatis & Tziolis or Siopas or whoever you will play. However, we usually play with two strikers so Fortounis could make an overload in the midfield for you guys.

without a solid DM/CM it is difficult to take control of any game of football...and as brilliant as Pjanic is and he will be dearly missed, our CM/DM is not capable of really exploiting this.

Yes....Karnezis, Torosidis, Manolas, Sokratis, Fortounis, Mitroglou are very good footballers...that is only 6 players...a game like this will need 12/13 players to take the 3 points..

The pressure on Bosnia will be huge...as a draw is better fir greece.

I don't know who will start for you but Cimirot-Jajalo isn't any better than Tziolis-Maniatis or whichever you guys will start. Add to this we have 4 centreback in defense, no Besic, no Milicevic, no Krunic...

I have not been this hopeless going into a game for years.

100$ on greece draw no bet so now it's a win win for me :) as for pjanic he will play 100%

I put 50 on already, might put another 50. Great odds IMO.

@RED SHERIFF, I don't know much about your midfield, that is true, but you have a lot of quality in defence and in attack. Fortounis has a great shot on him, Mitroglou is having a great season, but I don't know much about Mantalos or Gianniotas.

  12. The bookies still haven't responded to Bosnian injuries, I'd take advantage of the great odds while you can.

@Rockafeller Skank, I think that with full strength line ups we are slightly better on paper however your defence is 10 times better than ours. Sokratis, Manolas and Torosidis would start for Bosnia whereas I think Dzeko, Kolasinac, Besic, Ibisevic, Pjanic, Lulic and Begovic could potentially start for Greece. Right now you are in the advantage.
