  1. Would surprise me if we have players ready to sign and the names haven't been leaked to the press. Somehow the newspapers always know what we're up for, the signings of Matos and Shakhov are great examples of that. Would be funny if Ivan and Michel would spread some rumours inside the club's offices and see who the rat/-s is/are.

  2. There's also been some rumours about Scarione (http://www.transfermarkt.com/oscar-scarione/profil/spieler/47011)

If we get rid of Pelkas (or players like Golasa, Sabo etc) and get both Verdi and Scarione we'll be very solid in the attacking midfield position. And that's what we should be after, having a solid line-up. If we can make a good season and do good in the european competitions, then we can start buying real paixtarades.

  3. Verdi was seen as a big talent a few years ago and is still quite young.

In total he played 874 minutes last season, scored 4 goals and assisted to one goal. 279 of those minutes were in La liga with Eibar where he didn't score a single goal or made a single assist.

Would rather see a player that has shown more but he's young and that means he can develop at PAOK.

This is a guy I'd kill for (most probably Pash) to get to PAOK. He's had many problems with injuries and it would have been amazing if he'd choose PAOK as a place to restart he's career. Of course the chances are very slim but if we would get some quality players and proceed to CL then maybe maybe there's a possibility... I'm sure Leverkusen would loan him out for a fee of 1,5-2 million.

That said, as a fan to the Greek NT I'd rather see him in a better league.

  5. Did fans jump the fences just now? Are we going to now face some more fines and point deductions?

    -edit-

    YUP

After the match people should be able to do what the fuk they want on our pitch, this causes harm only to us.

That said, it's kinda looser-ish celebrating with going onto the pitch over a second spot in GSL. They probably just wanted to congratulate the players but still...

I'm happy as hell though hehe  :D

  6. They're playing at home....PAOK is the favorite in this game, PAO is the underdog you can't argue that.

And why would I argue that? Just as we are the favorites in Toumba, you were the favorites when playing at home. What I reacted to was that you were trying to insinuate that PAO has some major problems that PAOK don't have, and therefore it's some major scandal if we wouldn't win.

I know very well that we are the 4th best team in Greek football but for now we're as good* as PAO and AEK is.

*If we are going to be honest to each other, that "good" should be replaced with a "bad".

An advice to you jvc, if you want to know why PAOK has so few titles then I would recommend you to go and read some history. Im so tired of PAO and AEK fans complaining about the corruption in Greek football while bragging about titles coming from the same thing, corruption. Not saying you are one of them because most of the time you're bashing Alafouzos.

Think we shall stop ruining this thread now ;)

  7. Great opportunity for PAOK to finish first, especially now that Berg is not playing. If PAOK loses next week while PAO is down and out, going through the darkest days in club history, they will never break their programed tradition of being the 4th best club in Greece.

PAO may be going through its darkest days but why are you trying to imply that PAOKs conditions are much better?

You kicked your trainer, as we did.

You have a squad valued to 35 million euro, as we have (36 actually)

Your best player will not play, as our (Berg and Mak)

We've had like 30 injuries and no harmony in our team whatsoever so please don't come with your propaganda of how the conditions for PAOK are much better.

  8. Preston North End apparently interested in Mak. Please excuse me while I go vomit.c

You asked Amorgos if he really LOLed in another topic and if you would ask for my reaction to this rumour I would answer the question with a big fkn LOL. Maybe even a ROFL.

  9. Something I'm not completely clear on - if there is a clause (like the above mentioned 15mm), is it just a matter of whoever is the first to offer that sum, gets the player? Or is there still an opportunity for other teams to make bigger offers? I guess it's a no-brainer that making more money is welcome, but I can't think of these clauses ever being referenced in cases where clubs are competing for a player.

The selling club is obliged to accept the offer if it matches the clause. If another club would offer more money that would't make any difference, but of course that would be welcomed by the selling club. Being the first club to match a clause doesn't give any advantage. It's then up to the player to choose from the offers and make his decision.

  10. A draw vs AEK and a loss vs PAO will still probably leave us in second place. Since the tiebreaking criteria is head to head (and I believe we lost both games vs PAO this year?), we need to go for the win and hope that they somehow draw vs Panionios. Either way, this playoff is still very much open.

We drew one away (2-2) and won one at home (3-1) so there we have an advantage. If we however lose at home then they'll proceed as they have taken the most points (4 vs our 1) in the play-offs.
