Winning makes it 9/9/6 and us above the Finns coz we won them (in uefa first tiebreaker is between matches).
Which means that even if we draw Finland at home we stay on top and all we have to do is win poor man's Estonia at home.
Winning tonight makes us first at the most possible and realistic scenario. This is why, if we win tonight I will legit post a pic of mine with a facebook filter.

basically just play real wingers rather than baka/pelkas. kourbelis is good but he just had an off game imo. Is mantalos injured or can he play?
mantalos as a cm would be good he actually defends very very hard and has everything needed to be a box to box. He will cause the opponent so much difficulty and drag defenders out of position so that our front 4 can be creative with more space.
lazaros not afraid to take a shot so almost like a second striker and fortounis/fetfa/mantalos opening space creating shots. mitro just a strong powerful target man.
we can then sub in toro for bakakis for 30 mins and lazaros (tho i'd do donis for lazaros but not available so I guess pelkas is best compromise for now)
we are the best team team in the group we just need to pump up our attack so we can score. If we can get a lead we're impossible for 80% of teams to beat. That's why I think mantalos at cm is the difference maker
If we staf, samaris, retsos, donis are in form I'd start them all for sure. (maybe not on retsos cause I like bakakis's work rate attack wise whereas retsos is more defense oriented).
we miss samaras/karagounis a lot cuz those two can create something out of nothing. I think lazaros/mantalos are the modern equivalent

yeah bakasetas and pelkas were invisible. we were lucky that tsimikas and bakakis did all the heavy lifting offensively. they were sooo far up the pitch at times
still was a really good defensive work. they only had 1 shot on goal and 69% passing. they also had 5 yellow cards.

it was a defensive masterclass overall. 3/4 on yellow cards by 20th minute and remained steady. Sokratis getting all ball multiple times in the box with slides
people say we don't play pretty but defense is an art as well and I was entertained. of course i'm biased cuz i'm a ethiniki fanboy though. i'm used too our heart attack games literally went down to the wire. gerasa 10 xronia

Barkas 8 (clean sheet) - Bakakis 8, Manolas 8, Papastathopoulos 9, Tsimikas 8 - Zeca 5, Fortounis 7, Kourbelis 4 (Tziolis 7, 46th) - Bakasetas 4, Mitroglou 8 (Bouchalakis 0, 93rd), Pelkas 4 (Christodoulopoulos 7, 78th).
it was a good defensive display. our midfield barely offered any chield till tziolis went in so considering hungary was rawdogging us all night you gotta give our backline credit and also our fullbacks for being the main attacking threat. bakakis winning headers out there
it's a clean sheet win. i'm happy

how does his tactics effect kourbelis though? kourbelis was really good that game he did with boucha. this game he wasn't as much of a force.

Tsimikas I think could add something more in attack than Lykogiannis.
Mantalos should have been expiriemnted already as an 8. But Skibbe plays him on the wing. Galanopoulos will play there sooner rather than later. I like Zeca for the pressure he puts and can play sometimes.
Fortounis is our Ozil. Controls the game with his movement and passing he looked like he didn't do that well. Even he is slow at times. Fetfatzidis will give us a more energetic and creative option on the wing who can play their.
I agree about Mantalos as an 8.
totally forgot about fetfa. he should be starting and then laz super sub and teams wont know what hit them. I don't totally hate skibbe. he's conservative but he's slowly making the right decisions lol

considering 3 of our 4 backline had yellow cards by the 20th minute though. great defensive display. sokratis absolute masterclass defending. he needs to chill on trying to do long balls though, he's not bonnuci lol

I feel like double strikers they'll just be even more isolated. I think mantalos deep or fortounis deep with mantalos cam could work.

bakasetas is backup to donis and only played because of his injury. I think Mantalos should play as our 8 with zeca. Mantalos has great hustle and does defend quite hard and hustle

kourbelis and zeca stalled us getting forward unless fortounis tracked back. everything good was coming from our flanks cuz of tsimikas/bakakis hustling up/down the field. which luckily they have the stamina to do but we need to have central as an outlet too or it gets too predictable (the huns caught on in the 7th minute after we were dominating them up the flanks) so we have one defensive minded cm (zeca) and one attack minded (mantalos) think it could work.

I thought fortounis was very very good imo. zeca and kourbelis were not so great today so he tracked back. he took on defenders. got fouled so much too. his crosses were okay except that last dud and i think he set up mitro a few times but mitro failed to get his feet in sync.
Mitro seems to be not the best at grounded through balls he's good at volleys/headers and outside box shots. grounded through balls he seems to struggle to cordinated fast enough and gets dispossed. regardless mr. mykonos clinical and tsimikas gets his first assist in his debut.
form is king.

to be fair kourbelis was looking sloppy and unfocused. Tziolis was better
tsimikas made some errors at first and then became one of our best players.
Mitroglou kudos finishing on his few chances.
we need Donis, Samaris to get back in form. To a lesser degree Stafylidis too but i'm really like Tsimikas right now. Dude was all over the place and takes responsibility.

so happy bakakis and tsimikas got the start. we can actually get the ball foward from the flanks now and they're engines.
Lazaros was a great super sub. Creating dangerous chances / stealing balls
Tziolis impact sub to shut the game down is actually working. He also saved our asses. As long as he starts I don't mind him shutting the game down if he plays like this.
Sokratis saved our asses so many times too with timely tackles but that's Sokratis.

Offensively we'll be dealing no pressure from the wings since there are no natural wingers and thats something you people who want the likes of Pelkas and Fetfatzidis to be our starting wingers. Players would crash with each other since all of them play more centrally.
Long story short Donis and Lazaros is the best we can provide for this position.

Pelkas seems more in form too and I do think he's a decent winger. He plays games there for PAOK LM often and has good games there.
I'd ideally want Lazaros when he's in form too but not a full 90. maybe 60 or as impact sub.
Same with Torosidis/Bakakis. That refreshing would make our right flank more potent. our left is youthful and talented (donis/staf) though staf has gone MIA

wouldn't really want any of the above the start anyways. Lazaros hasn't been as sharp lately and Fortounis has looked great. Mantalos off the bench wouldn't mind as a CAM tho and same with lazaros but not starters.

I want Manthatis to play regular which is too hard to crack at Oly. Wish he was at pao/aek/paok. He would surely get game time there.
Him and Donis on the wings would bring pace that we've never had to my memory of greek football. Though pace isn't everything the fact that top teams like PSG (neymar/mpappe), Juventus (quadrado/costa), liverpool (mane/salah), man city (sane/sterling) all heavily rely on pacey wingers I think demonstrates that pace might be king in the modern game.
still cheesed that we never called up Valentino Lazaro. He'd be the fastest greek player by far AND has technical skill. though he's far removed from greek football world and is mostly a product of Austrian system so I think most of greek football wasn't aware of him. I discovered him by accident after noticing his greek sounding name

I'm PAO as well. Thought most pao fans were anti-gauro?
I like all Greek teams though and seeing what AEK did to their team after winning the league makes me prefer Oly as the top greek team. They're better managed and aren't cheap with buying big players and strive to be elite.

pelkas personally looks good to me on the wing. he's pacey, good crosser, his first touch has improved tremendously and he's had some of his best games playing LM for PAOK eg) cup semi final wing he was LM and was MOTM
probably kourbelis and zeca shielding
we're missing staflydis badly and skibbe doesn't have the balls to start tsimikas who I personally prefer over lyko

tsimikas is the holebas imo. very similar style players and dude has a bright future. big fan.
gunna be weird when stafylidis gets back in form. more options is always welcome though and it pushes tzavellas further out.
