Christmas tree formation. Sabo next to Tziolis is a risk
-
Pelkas definitely needs a ball winning midfielder next to him and that's exactly what Kace does, and he runs both ways, plays a hand in attack and defence
-
Kace's absence was felt. I agree with Tziolis, but Tzabella did his job. I think Pelkas needs to be brought back down to Earth. He's been hearing too much praise, and thinks he can just put the team on his shoulders and run with it. He can't. The kid is talented, no doubt about it, but he's not an elite player.
We left 2 valuable points on the table....a shame. I'm not expecting a single point from Dortmund....I'm hoping for a tie and a win with the Russians and a win vs. Qabala.
100% agree with your take on Pelkas. The ability is there, he will mature and make better decisions with the more games he gets.

@Pash You mean Charities

Damn technology to heck!

I've just noticed autocorrect changed Charities to Charities

First real test for both clubs, this will give us a good idea of where we are at
-
Oh and I hope to see Charities feature soon, maybe this is his chance

I was under the impression that clubs submit there squads each round. Jairo would've been registered with his former club in the qualifying round, meaning he'd be eligible to register with another group for the group stage. I could be wrong but I think if we make it into the knockout stages, we submit another roster for the competition.

No Leovac for a month, I thought it was a little weird he was dragged by Tudor at halftime for Konstantinidis, he was working hard and getting involved, saw no signs of him being injured.
-
Was great to being there, I chose my seat early which would end up being in the centre of where G4 would assemble, had lots of fun chanting, was great to see the win and some goals! While it was a good atmosphere I think next game I'll be sitting somewhere I can get a proper view of the game, hard to see past the smoke from the flares at times, and the hools would rather you just make noise then react to what's happening in the game. However I'm happy I did it, was an experience.

Thanks Original, welcome news, is that 100%?

They were laying new turf today at Toumba, it did look like it could've been in better shape when I went last week.
-
Hopefully he gets some minutes in. One of my friends I've been travelling with absolutely adores Berbatov, to the point his constant idolising of anything he did made me hate him. It's quite funny how things unfolded, he now plays for us and has practically forced me into hoping he's a success. My friend and I rarely agree on anything so he's loving that I've had to concede this one.

Reading that Klaus will be starting in a 4-2-3-1, I'll have a go at the lineup. As I think Pash it was mentioned somewhere, Tudor is still unpredictable, so I could be way off, not sure if he will go with such an attacking lineup like the one I'm posting
Olsen
Kitsiou Vitor Costa Leovac
Kace Tziolis
Rodrigues Pelkas Mak
Klaus

Will be attending this one fellas, first game, very excited. Hoping to see us score some goals, we've been toothless in our prior 2 matches

Sabo was subbed on at 73'. Watched a little bit, Mak was playing up top by himself, the few times Slovakia had possession they'd try be as swift as possible to get it forward, tried to maybe expose them at the back there with Mak's pace.
The few times it came off he was pushed out wide into crossing positions, and was without much support. Remember a nice bit of play wide where he laid it off to Hamsik who had his shot on target saved by Casilias. Didn't see anything else worth mentioning
-
Articles saying he's on his way are starting to surface
-
I'll still be here a while, I left knowing I'd go back once things had settled down. If what's being reported is true and sportingbet will be our shirt sponsor then I hope to get a shirt before they are printed on them, won't look good at all.

A guy I was sitting next to today at Toumba seemed to think that Rajkovic (free agent) is on his way. He is injury prone and a bit of a hot head but he's played at a high level and we desperately need another defender.
I hope he does sign, only PAOK would have the transfer window shut without having signed two of the most needed positions in your squad, have everyone asking 'what the hell?!' Then to have those two positions filled by free agents who have played a high level. Would make us look real silly for complaining all this while if they had this all planned out, but I trust this all would've just fallen into our laps, we deserve a bit of luck.
EDIT: Forgot to mention he allegedly snubbed our initial offer because of interest from German sides. Usually I'd tell him to stick it but I'm not even mad, I'm that desperate to fill that void back there

Right after everyone left the stadium, the boutique had already printed shirts that went like hot cakes. I just wanted a medium I could get Pelkas printed on and there was nothing

My first Toumba experience today, great atmosphere

You have to be kidding me, please tell me that's not official. I leave Greece on the 25th, the AEK game was the only game in Toumba I was able to attend. Going to have to delay my return flight, anyone know what fees/charges are involved for changing dates with Emirates?

Poungouras loan? He would've played plenty had any of our defenders gone down with injury during the season, stupid move, we're so thin back there it's ridiculous.

Klaus managed to slot it calmly, was worried that his confidence might be a little low when he lined up for it, wasn't involved much at all. Rodrigues' first touch is terrible, however when he gets some speed behind him, he's hard to stop, made a few nice runs. Pelkas with an average game, again trying to do to much by himself. Tziolis was great, maybe even my man of the match. 2 wins from the 2 games I've attended so far, I'll definitely be trying to make Dortmund and Olympiakos, keep this run going!
