I cant believe that Donis did not play at all so we can be 100 maybe 100,1% sure that he will be used as a Winger. Offence seems like Vellios Donis - Fortounis - Mantalos Dont wanna sound optimistic but this team should be enough to beat Estonia. We should always play our best players but if our Offence is literally focused in just Mitroglou - we are not gonna go far. I would actually love Vellios to get the chance and prove us wrong. And people were crying for new blood in the midfield, and now that we got it , we lost a Euro (where finishing 3rd/6 gave u a possible qualification, and we re crying for a possible play-off spot against France and Switzerland in a WC qualification. Thing is that the current midfields might be the best we got but all 3 of Zeca ,Samaris , Tachtsidis are not in par with a good striker like Mitroglou and the awesome defense we have. Even if they have some good attributes and somehow Skibbe takes the best from them. We really have to hope Retsos-Siopis-Androutsos develop to be the players we hope they become, otherwise no matter how many good Centerbacks, how good stafylidis fortounis and Mitroglou Donis are, we ll be facing teams with a couple of decent midfielders and the rest of them being nothing but a plank in the field, and we ll struggle.

Bouchalakis starting once again in Championship. I fail to see how he will not play against Estonia. Him,Zeca, Siopis,Tziolis are the only players who have had playtime so far in the midfield. I doubt we see Tziolis in this match. Zeca seems a starter.

I strongly disagree. Taking the match against Estonia lightly might be a doom for us. The all must thing to do right now, after this team did not lose twice to Bosnia and did not lose to Belgium once either, after a horrific campaign, is to just not drop oints to Estonia , Cyprus and obviously Gibraltar. That is going to be 21 points from the maximum 30 and that is in fact an achievement. Friendly reminder that we reached the WC 2014 with 25 points as first seeds and the WC 2010 with 20 points as first seeds again. 21 points as 3rd seed is an achievement and I believe Bosnia is not going to reach 21 points. I would prefer if we kept a "low score" with Belgium, because our defense has kept us in game even in case Bosnia ties us in points.

I really have no interest to watch us play a derby vs Estonia. It's gonna make the team look bad and blow our confidence. An easy win a posession game is what's needed. Mitroglou ain't gonna be the problem against Estonia. We outclass them without him and Papastathopoulos already. I would have no problem at all to see Retsos if the game goes well from the beginning and we have a safe lead. Maybe change the formation as well by subbing an offensive player out and putting retsos to end the whole "south africa want him too" joke for the final minutes. Otherwise I think he hasn't had as many days with the NT as our other defenders so I think he might become a weak link.

I dont think both of them are comming. Ben will probably stay as second. Everybody talking him down just because he didn't score against Rijeca, although he did actually win a penalty that was not given. He was excellent in Preseason and vs Partizan who is much better than Rijeca, so I assume he is gonna stay the 2nd choice. Ansarifard I see him going so If Vellios comes Djurdjevic won't , or the opposite. The team is stacked with offensive players I doubt they can bring 2 more. A centerback and in case Retsos leaves, two Centerbacks is what the team currently needs.

Even the Notts fans are thinking strange about this player. He was used in ALL pre season friendlies and in fact scored 5 goals, yet he is not in the squad in any of the matchdays so far. Something smells fishy, possibly Marinakis sending him to Olympiakos a few days before the window closes?

It is an obvious disadvantage in a player's physique. His body was also on vacation mode despite the training , none of the players really playeda full 90 minute. I just hope that the fact that our own are more quality players than the Estonian ones, plays it's role.

What's sad however is that some key players of us like Stafylidis - Mitroglou - Samaris - Tachtsidis (injured) will not have played any match until the Estonia one. Hope that does not affect them.

Im pretty sure that Skibbe wants to see some of our players play. Germany Starts Tomorrow. Serie A Starts Tomorrow. Championship has already started. I didnt say anything about having good strikers or not. I maybe got biased because I used a term of the football simulation games. Second striker is pretty much a 10 that plays a bit outside the area and has good technical ability to surpass opposition defenders man to man. He mostly serves at least in the games. Im just taking about someone who plays a bit behind the main striker. I dont think we really have had anyone in that position. The closest that comes to mind is Lymberopoulos.

I assume if we have missing players like Mitroglou andTachtsidis maybe a different formation is used, like a 4-4-2. We havent had a decent second striker since I remember following the Ethniki. Maybe a 4-4-2 , in fact a 4-2-2-2, with both Fortounis and Mantalos having very central roles, could be of better usage. The reason I call Donis a second striker is because he has the technical ability to hold the ball and the vision to search for the assist. He is not just the - i only shoot - type of guy.

I don't think they re gonna look ahead to the Belgium game. We already are in an advantage over Bosnians for second spot. I doubt they can take a result against them. 9 points will most possibly be enough. I expect Bosnia maybe dropping poins to Talinn or Cyprus as well. They seem disinterested. Apart from that, Belgium is currently ranked 9th in the World Rankings. Meaning that with Russia hosts and 7 other teams, they are left outside the top seeds, which they most possibly want. So im pretty sure they re gonna go for wins in both matches, to hunt for top seed. Even the minnows are playing for positive results as that might mean they get drawn with easier teams on next qualifications.

Not really, your price is as good as you are so the salary kinda does. Bouchalakis is absolutely underrated for not getting a start even at some of the worst seasons of Olympiakos , but he is not as good as people have started praising him after two goals. Maybe he is and I dont know but what stands is that his true worth can't be defined from two good games he had. Olympiakos last season had bad planning. Do you really think Elyounoussi , who was brought for a starter was anything better than Gianniotas? Im not saying Gianniotas is a top class player but the fact that he was not given a chance and Elyounoussi was, makes it look like he is totally bad. For some reason though, Gianniotas was a fine STARTER for a team that beat us twice in the Groupstage and made it one round more than us in the Europa League, even knocking Bilbao and Rosenborg out, two teams that are much better than what Olympiakos has faced so far in his Campaign and Friendlies. The Estonian team is mostly consisted of players in Estonian and Norwegian Leagues. They re ongoing in the summer, which is a positive thing for them.
