tiebreakers are decided by head to head matchup between the two teams. So there are 5 games left. Our last game is against Hungary. We need Hungary to lose 1 game in their next 4 games. Greece needs to win their next 4 games. That sets up a matchup between them where we are down by 3 points but a win advances us to the playoff round, regardless of goal difference (similar to how we advanced in 2012).

Just because we dominated possession doesn't mean we dominated the match. Why would teams stop us from having possession? The only player that showed some creativity with the ball was Fefta. Most goals we allow are from counter attacks or set pieces. Hungary was more than willing to sit back at goal and pick their spots to attack. They ended up having better scoring opportunities than us, we were lucky to come away with a point.

Well our forwards arent getting any service and when they do they can't do anything with it.

I cant really explain Samaris recent string of poor NT games. He's played really well for Porto all year so it really is puzzling. I love Kpaps as much as anyone, but this team desperatly needs some possitive play from the central midfielders which he simply cannot provide. I'm not a huge fan of Taxi but I agree that its his time to start. I didnt see a team with a lack of passion against Hungary, that's not what prevented us from scoring a goal. Hungary was smart in just letting us have possession knowing we wouldn't able to muster any sort of legitimite scoring opportunity while they just sat back and defended. For all the possession we had they ulitmatly had the best scoring opportunities.
